CUTTING THE LONG STORY SHORT

If you are seeking for detailed and reliable in-ears from German audio giant Sennheiser, then the CX 180 should be your pick."

DESIGN: 1MORE PISTON FIT Vs SENNHEISER CX 180
The Piston Fit is an all new addition to the house of 1MORE. Not to be confused with the Xiaomi Pistons, these in-ears are a pair of elegant looking earphones.
Ergonomically well designed, the sound chambers are made of a stylish looking aluminium alloy and feature a 45° in-ear design lending these the look of extremely high priced IEMs. 1More has very successfully put great thought into offering such an aesthetic looking design that doesn’t feel cheap or shoddy. Usually, no brand focuses on quality for budget earphones, but 1MORE has done and deserves to applaud.
Another impressive feature for this price point are the cables that are sturdy and have been reinforced with Kevlar fiber, this is the same material with which bullet proof jackets are made. Furthermore, in order to give it a soft touch, the cable has been covered in TPE material.
Available in 4 assorted colors, the Piston Fit lets you pick from a variety of colors like Grey, Blue, Silver and Pink or the way 1MORE likes to call it: Deep Space Grey, Clear Lake Blue, Galaxy Silver and Rose Pink. Overall, the design and slew of colours make the Piston Fit a winner in terms of design and style.
METALLIC ROBUST BUILD VS A BORING GREY PLASTIC BUILD
Sennheiser is a very popular brand among audiophiles and music lovers. Riding on the taste and preference of the Indian market, Sennheiser launched the more affordable CX 180. In a very short while, the Sennheiser CX 180 has managed to become the highest selling pair of earphones in the country.
The CX 180 has been built entirely from plastic, but that doesn't deter its quality and these feel fairly durable. Designed in an unconventional circular design, the earphones are extremely tiny to hold and look. A nice quirk, the ear pieces have a finger-contoured housing design. The earphones can be easily gripped in between your fingers and quickly placed into your ear canal. However, if you are considering appeal and look, the Piston Fit is definitely better styled.
If you a creature who is driven by all things colour, the Sennheiser CX 180 lets you down. The earphones come with a simple greyish black body. Ifcolour is your priority you may want to consider the CX 213, which is an upgrade to CX 180. (Also Read- Sennheiser CX 213: A Worthy Upgrade of CX 180)
USABILITY: 1MORE PISTON FIT vs SENNHEISER CX 180
The Piston Fit features a one button remote and microphone, thus, you can conveniently control your music and answer calls. However, do note that you will have to pull out your phone in order to change control your volume. What is really commendable is that the single button is extremely durable. It is so durable that 1MORE claims that it can withstand more than 10,000 strikes and still come out strong.
Coming to comfort, the trumpet shaped style ensures that your ear buds fit perfectly inside your ear canal, while also offering a great finger grip. Weighing just 14 grams, these are extremely lightweight, and do not cause ear fatigue even after long sessions of music listening.
SUPER ERGONOMIC FIT VS FINGER CONTOURED DESIGN
Designed to be used mostly with your smartphones, the Sennheiser CX 180 earphones are pretty lightweight and comfortable due to its plastic build. Hence, they are more than suitable even for prolonged use. The earphones come with 3 added pairs of earbuds for better comfort.
Ergonomically, these earphones are not very superior, and the Piston Fit is definitely a better option if you consider this aspect. The Finger-Contoured Housing design allows you to easily take these on and off and further aids in better usability.
The cables are a total let down when compared to that of the Piston Fit. Tangle prone, they will last for a while, albeit, you'd take care of them.
A big disappointment, the Sennheiser CX 180 does not come with a mic and remote. If you are looking for a mic and remote option, you should consider Sennheiser CX275s.
SOUND: 1MORE PISTON FIT vs SENNHEISER CX 180
When it comes to the sound, 1MORE has a driver unit that utilizes lightweight aerospace metal and flexible PET material that gives you a considerably fine sound. The Piston Fit offers a warm and full-bodied sound. The bass, mids and highs, work in perfect harmony. However, you may be disappointed with the sound-stage, that is no where in the league. The other features however, still put the Piston Fit a step above the rest.
A very thoughtful add-on from 1MORE, is its Smart Burn-in Mobile App. No more do have to sit around trying to figure out how long you should burn in your headphones for, the app allows your headphones to reach maturity level before you can enjoy its true essence. This again is a very unique feature at this price-point.
PISTON FITS SMART BURN-IN MOBILE APP IS A GREAT FEATURE AT THIS PRICE POINT
The CX 180's are evidently biased towards bass. The brand has capitalized on the fact that Indians are fans of bass-heavy music. All though signature is bass oriented, the details come through crisp and clear. The mids and highs may get muddy due to the overpowering bass, but it isn't ignored. There is not much that you can expect from earphones at this price range, however, we do think that Sennheiser could do a tad better job.
The soundstage is not noteworthy, but better than other earphones that you will find in earphones in this price range.
The brand has done a decent job with these earphones, considering its price. However, the brand is renowned for bringing high-quality audio, and if you want to experience what they are capable of delivering, you should look some of the pricier earphones.

If you are looking for earphones with great detail to styling and much accuracy, then 1More Piston Fit should be your pick.
