1. Check the connection to charge The Dash Connect The Dash Charger to a USB power source and ensure The Dash Charger is charging by following the charging instructions. Check if the light on The Dash Charger next to the USB cable is lit. Check whether both of The Dash are correctly positioned in The Dash Charger. The Dash usually needs some adjustments until the charging pins have a stable connection. Also check if the charging pins look unusual to you. If the steps were followed accordingly, it might take up to 5 minutes before the LED LightGuide starts breathing. If this is not the case, please try another charging source and USB cable. 2. Fix a Crash During usage The Dash might stop responding to your gestures. Usually a simple refresh by putting The Dash into The Dash Charger for 5 seconds fixes the issues. In case The Dash does not respond, it is suggested to follow the update procedure with The Bragi Updater again. This could fix any software related problems. 3. Perform an alternative update An alternative update to The Bragi Updater can be found here. If none of the above steps helped, please contact Bragi Customer Support. It is important to describe the encountered issues as detailed as possible. Try to answer the following questions: What is the issue and under which circumstances did they happen? Which version of Bragi OS are you using with The Dash? What is your device´s serial number? To help you fixing the issues, it is also suggested to additionally provide pictures of The Dash and The Dash Charger focusing the golden charging pins.

The Dash Pro is designed to be waterproof and can withstand being fully submerged in water down to a depth of 1 meter. Please note, that sweat as well as different water environments, especially swimming pools, may contain chemicals that with sustained exposure may be damaging to The Dash Pro if not cared for afterwards. To prevent damaging The Dash Pro on a long-term basis, it is strongly recommended to clean and dry The Dash Pro properly when it has been exposed to water and sweat. The Dash Pro is rated water and sweat resistant at IPX7. With extensive use of The Dash Pro for swimming, water sports and other activities that involve water, the following guidelines should be upheld ensure long-term functionality and avoid any damage. The Dash Pro is waterproof down to 1m/3ft. Don't go deeper than 1m/3ft beneath the water surface as the water pressure may damage The Dash Pro. Keep in mind that while The Dash Pro is made for swimming purposes, it is not suitable for diving. Swimming pools that are enriched with heavy chemicals can ultimately lead to damaging The Dash Pro from the inside Do not let The Dash Pro get in touch with Shampoo/Shower Gel or other cleaning products since they might hurt the more sensitive materials on the device. Don't put The Dash Pro in The Dash Pro Charger while it's still wet or moist. Doing so can cause severe damage to the electronics or housing of The Dash Pro. The Dash Pro Charger is not waterproof and should be treated as such. Any contact with water may cause severe damage.
Keep The Dash Pro and The FitSleeves or FitTips Pro, clean and dry to maximize comfort and ensure long-term usage. We recommend that you always use The Slide as a protective case when you carry The Dash Pro to protect both The Dash Pro and The Dash Pro Charger and to prevent dirt and grime from adhering on the connection points. Do not wash with normal laundry in the washing machine or the dish washer. Do not use sharp edges (knives, etc). Do not dry using a hairdryer. dash_datahu-mash_2x.png Ensure optimal audio performance The speakers and microphones on The Dash Pro are protected by a speaker grill called the Mesh. This prevents earwax from entering the speaker tip, which is why it is recommended to clean the speaker grill regularly, at least once every 2 weeks. Remove the FitSleeves. Use a nonabrasive, preferably lint free/micro fiber, cloth or simply use your fingers to clean the surfaces to clean the charging pins. Do not use any liquids to clean the charging pins. Use a soft toothbrush and carefully remove ear wax from the speaker grill. Responsible use of Audio Transparency We highly recommend to consider the situation in which you use Audio Transparency. Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear your ambient environment and pay attention to your surroundings, e.g. when riding your bike in heavy traffic. WindShield windshield_2x.png Hear your surroundings, but block out the wind! WindShield dynamically makes adjustments in order to reduce wind noise when e.g. riding your bike. Use the EarTouch interface on The Left Dash Pro to enable WindShield: Swipe forward to turn Audio Transparency on. Swipe forward once more to enable WindShield. Both Audio Transparency and WindShield can be turned off with one swipe backwards. Windshield is designed to reduce noises in steady wind during traveling speed between 15-30 km/h (9-18 mph). Using The Slide The Slide fits over The Charger and helps retain The Dash Pro while you are charging on the go. It is important that The Slide is installed correctly in order to avoid damaging either the device or the charger itself. Always make sure there is no resistance and The Dash Pro does not move when placing the charger inside The Slide. brg_170511_usermanual_graphics_Charger_OV1.png Installation To make sure that both The Dash Pro and The Dash Pro Charger keep working as long as possible, it is necessary to use The Slide correctly. That way you can avoid the golden charging pins from dislocating and ultimately not charging the device anymore. Place The Dash Pro in The Dash Pro Charger and make sure it sits correctly on The MagSnap. You will know they are seated correctly when the LED LightGuide on The Dash Pro starts breathing simultaneously (slow regular pulsation) to indicate the current battery status when charging. This usually takes up to 10 seconds to occur. If the LED LightGuide does not start to breathe on one of the devices, remove The Dash Pro from the charging unit and re-seat them. Tip: Most often, it works best to drop the device into the charger from a short distance and allow them to position themselves. Align The Slide with the right side of The Dash Pro Charger (opposite of USB connection) so that the slot in The Slide is over the devices. That way you can still see The Dash Pro breathing even when covered. Slowly move The Slide to the left making sure that it does not interfere with The Dash Pro until it completely covers The Dash Pro Charger. Whenever you feel any resistance, stop the process and start over again. Removal While holding The Slide push on the side of the charger until it begins to move. Grasp the charger and carefully finish removing The Slide. If The Slide becomes stuck, it is possible that The Dash Pro has come off of the MagSnap connector. Do not forcibly remove The Slide. To realign The Dash Pro with the MagSnap connector, tap the charger lightly until it is possible to remove The Slide.
Use The Dash Pro in ambient temperatures between 0º and 45ºC (32º to 113ºF). Using The Dash Pro outside this temperature range can alter the battery performance and lead to malfunction or permanent damage of components inside The Dash Pro. When the recommended temperature range is exceeded, The Dash Pro will automatically shut down to protect its battery and other components from overheating. In this case The Dash Pro may not be usable for some time until the battery temperature is within the normal operating range again. Although The Dash Pro is designed to utilize your body heat to prevent rapid battery discharge when used in a cold environment, an ambient temperature below 0º C (32º F) may temporarily shorten battery life. Higher temperatures than 30º C (86º F) may also alter the battery performance. Avoid exposing The Dash Pro to extreme heat e.g. leaving it in your car on a hot summer day, exposing it to direct sunlight over an extended period of time etc. as this may damage the battery or other components inside The Dash Pro. Please note that storage temperatures should never get below -10°C (14°F) or exceed 60 °C (140°F) as this may cause critical damage to both battery and other components of The Dash Pro.
