The CES this year has been a hub of activity for the headphone industry, with Audeze launching the new Sine headphones, Sennheiser its HD 800 S and Sony coming out with a plethora of products.
Jaybird joined in on the action by announcing its plans for two new Bluetooth earphones slated to be released in the Q2 this year. And hopefully in India soon thereafter.
Reworking the chunkier Freedom Sprint earphones, the new Freedom earphones are the smallest Bluetooth earphones from their stable. Incorporating metal into their structures for the first time, the Freedom is available in in five colors -- Carbon (black on black metal), Blaze (red on silver metal), Ocean (blue on silver metal), Gold (white on gold metal), and Blush (white on rose gold metal).
Freedom's sound profile can be adjusted using the brand new Jaybird MySound app, storing your preferred balance of bass, mids, and highs directly in the headphones. Although it only offers 4 hours of battery life due to its smaller size, an additional four hours can be provided due to an included charging clip. When they’re released later this year, each version will come with an integrated remote control, microphone for phone calls, pouch-style carrying bag, and USB charging cable.
The X3 mostly retains the X2's shape with a smaller hardware profile than the X2 with an enhanced earfin system. The X3 is available in Blackout (black), Alpha (military green), Road Rash (red), Dune (tan), and Surf (blue).
Jaybird promises a seven hour battery life and an improved antenna design will improve wireless performance outdoors. Jaybird has also finally upgraded to power-efficient Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology for full compatibility with current-generation iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. The Soundapp is also another addition to the features.
