The Beyerdynamic Aventho Wireless has been making waves ever since it was released at the IFA in 2017. Ever since many have wanted to get their hands on this beauty, especially to try out one unique feature—The sound personalisation by none other Mimi Technologies. If you are unsure about this technology, no worry. With the headphone released in India, we have created this post as an information guide to this unique piece of technology. So let’s begin!

Um… Firstly What is Mimi Technologies? Did They Play a Big Role in Creating This App?

Mimi Technologies is an audio specialist that uses scientific research and data to create digital hearing tests as well as adjust sound processing to fit people’s hearing.

This German brand has tested over a million people’s ears. Over 12 years of R&D and partnerships with audio experts have led to medically certified apps as well as a breakthrough in sound processing that gives you a music experience like no other.

Mimi has partnered with Beyerdynamic to create a personalised sound experience for headphone users. So, no two Aventho Wireless are the same. This customisation can be done via the MIY App.

The MIY App

Extensive research studies have shown that each person listens to sounds differently. And, as you get older, the way you listen to things changes. So, why should everyone listen to the ‘same’ music on the ‘same’ headphone? This is where the MIY App comes in. All you have to do is to take the sound test and automatically adjust your music to your preferences. Some cool features this app has include:

Create Your Own Sound Profile

Adjust your audio to your listening preferences. All you have to do is to start the 6-minute hearing test from the app itself. Once done, your profile will be saved directly to your Aventho Wireless.

Track Your Listening Habits

Find out all about your individual listening habits. The Tracking tab in the MIY App tells you the intensity as well as for how long you are listening to music. It tells you whether you need to give your ears some rest or if it is safe to continue listening to your music.

Adjust the Touchpad Sensitivity

To control your music play, pause, switch between tracks, etc. you have to use the touchpad on the right earcups. You can adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad via the app.

Download and Connect to the MIY App

    1. If you are an Android user, you can download the app here or scan the QR code (beside). Make sure that your GPS is enabled. (Android v6.0 and 8.0 users have to download additional firmware to use the app here.)
