After the launch of Powerbeats Pro Beats released the Solo Pro. These are the first on - ear headphones by Beats. Solo Pro is designed to deliver great comfort as they are loaded with memory foam cushioning in the earpads and headband. They're bulky, but comfortable over long listening sessions. The overall design of Solo Pro is meant to increase comfort by allowing the ear cups to rest along with the natural angle of your ears.
The Solo Pro works great with iPhone because of the inbuild H1 chip, which allows hands-free control to Siri and immediate pairing. In Solo Pro the voice call has been upgraded as it comes with speech-detecting accelerometer which includes to pick up voices with better clarity, these technologies work to transmit just your voice and reduces background noise. It's also fully compatible with Siri, which can be used to operate the headphones hands-free via voice command.
Beats claims the sound to be well balanced over mids and treble and tend to deliver great powerful sound over lows. You can toggling between noise cancelling, transparency, and extended power mode by pressing the button present on the left ear cup. By pressing the right ear cup you can control playback or call controls. The Beats logo acts as a multifunction command, just press on the edge above or below the logo adjusts the volume level. iPhone users can just say, “Hey Siri,” for hands-free virtual assistant. Google or Alexa users need to hold the “b” logo down for a few seconds.
While using the ANC or transparency modes the Solo Pro is expected to give battery life is upto 22 hours and without those features enabled you can use the Solo Pro for 40 hours. Beats has eliminated the power button from Solo Pro, just fold the headphones in to turn off the headphones and unfold them again to switch the set back on. Solo Pro using the Apple Audio Sharing feature which allows you to share audio wirelessly with compatible headphones.
The Solo Pro is available in six colors Ivory, Black, Gray and has also introduced new matte colors like Dark Blue, Light Blue and Red which are co-designed with Pharrell Williams. Beats by Dre - Solo Pro is expected to be priced around Rs 21,000/-
