iFi Audio - Releases Zen DAC And Zen Blue

iFi Audio has launched the  Zen DAC and Zen Blue. The Zen DAC is usually stacked with Zen Blue. These two products were displayed for the first time at the Hong Kong AV show 2019.

The Zen Blue is a premium Bluetooth receiver for high-end sound systems. It comes with the latest Bluetooth codecs such as AAC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC and HWA which ensures CD-quality sound and no latency issues. At the front of Zen Blue, you will find two LEDs which indicate the sample frequency rate and codec being used.

At the back, there are two options given where the user can choose between analog and digital output. If the user is using the analog output, he can use a 4.4mm balanced or RCA port to connect to another device while the digital connection will let him connect via the coaxial and optical ports. The Zen Blue comes with a power supply of DC 5v which can be upgraded to the iPower 5v to improve the sound quality.

The Zen DAC comes with the very famous Burr-Brown DAC chip that has been used previously in the Micro iDSD and Pro iDSD series. This DAC has the ability to decode PC4 384kHz, DSD256, and MQA via a single USB input port. The maximum output power of the single-ended ports is 280mW at 32 Ohm and 380mW at 50 Ohm.

The Zen DAC is the only product in the iFi series that comes with two new technologies: Power Match and TrueBass. Power Match adds impedance to the headphones which makes it sensitive and eradicates any hissing sound in the background. TrueBass is an upgraded version of xBass which is made for all bass lovers to increase the bass range and make it more powerful.

The Zen DAC comes with 4.4mm unbalanced and 2.5mm balanced headphone outputs in the front and two analog outputs that is an RCA port and 4.4mm balanced port at the back. Users also have an option to choose between two modes: Variable (adjust the volume of the analog output port through volume cluster) and Fixed (Line-Out).

Both, the Zen DAC and Zen Blue will be available on pre-order at Headphone Zone soon for Rs 9,999/- each. Stay tuned!
