Our Roundup of the Best Headphones at CES 2020

Events like CES offers manufacturers a platform to brag, boast and a constant vie to produce the best sounding or the most innovative headphones. This year was no different! Brands like SHURE, JBL, Harman Kardon, Edifier, Jabra and Klipsch released the best of headphones (mostly wireless!), noise cancelling headphones, true wireless headphones and some offering the best of both! Here are some key takeaways from what excited us the most and what you can possibly look forward to in 2020.

Klipsch - T10

Followed by the Klipsch T5 True Wireless earphones, Klipsch introduces two new true wireless earbuds this year at CES 2020—Klipsch T10 True Wireless and T5 True Wireless, both featuring active noise cancellation. No doubt that the Klipsch T10 looks different from the other earbuds because of its unique design. Both earbuds come with AI (artificial intelligence) and gesture controls. The T10 and T5 also feature a built-in operating system, which allows for control using voice and head gestures.

The T10 True Wireless will be available in India tentatively from September 2020 for Rs. 40,000/-.

Shure - Aonic 215

The Shure Aonic 215 is purely based on the popular Shure SE215 in-ear monitor. The Aonic 215 shares the same design as the SE215 which has an MMCX detachable cable. Shure claims 8 hours of battery life from a single charge and 24 hours from the case. You can also take the Aonic 215 to the gym and while running as they are sweat-resistant.

Expected to be launched in India at about Rs. 20,000/- these have us excited. Keep watching this space for more.

Harman Kardon - FLY ANC

Loaded with 40mm drivers, the Harman Kardon FLY ANC headphones deliver premium, rich sound when you are on-the-go. The FLY ANC also supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. These headphones offer 20 hours of battery life and a mere 15 minutes of charge offers 2.5 hours of playback.

Edifier - TWS NB

The Edifier - TWS NB uses the Qualcomm QCC3026 Bluetooth chip, which claims ultra-low power consumption and ultra-low latency. Edifier claims to deliver high-quality sound and durability, without adding unwanted weight as the TWS NB is loaded with 13mm graphene drivers. It offers a battery life of 11 hours (an extra twenty-two hours if held in its charging case).

Shure - Aonic 50

Along with the Aonic 215, Shure also launched the Aonic 50, an active noise canceling wireless over-ear headset with 20 hours of battery life. The Aonic 50 has adaptive noise-canceling features and an adjustable transparency mode that lets ambient sound in.

Jabra - Elite Active 75t

Jabra added a new truly wireless earphone to its collection with the Elite Active 75t. It's loaded with 7.5 hours of battery life and 28 hours with the charging case. The Elite Active 75t comes with IP55-rated protection from dust and water, which makes them suitable for the gym.
