In 2013, Astell&Kern unveiled the world’s first lossless Hi-Res audio player in AK120 with Dual DACs. Keeping the nostalgia alive, the Korean giant unveils its newest audio player, the Astell&Kern SA700. It is a re-interpretation of AK120 that, the company claims, turned out to be very successful globally for its space and sound. Under the new theme of “Past Meets Present”, SA700 is launched with the latest DAC & amplifier technology keeping the physical essence of AK120 intact.
Inspired by the classic look of AK120, Astell&Kern SA700 features an analog-wheel volume button controller with LED lighting around its rim that makes it look fancy. Though AK claims the LED lighting to be far from the gimmick as it acts as an intuitive indicator for the loudness in volume. Also, it is presented with dual AK4492 DACs & native support for DSD. The company also boasted about the 32-bit/384KHz playback. That makes this new player the truest expression of Astell&Kern’s stated goal of a single player for all purposes and circumstances.
You can look at the Astell&Kern SA700 Hi-Res audio player worth ₹1 Lakh, to be on sale at Headphone Zone early next year.
