The specialist British audio manufacturer, RHA has become a very familiar name amongst the Indian Audiophiles over the past few years. Their distinctive looking In-Ear Headphones such as the critically acclaimed T20i and the entry level S500 have become a familiar sight at Headphone Connect events and continue to be popular.
The big news is that RHA is all set to unveil its first portable DAC and headphone amplifier, the DACAMP L1, and two high-resolution in-ear headphones, CL1 Ceramic and CL750. The new line up will be showcased at Europe's biggest consumer electronics show - IFA 2016 in Berlin from 2-7 September. This will be RHA's fourth consecutive year exhibiting at the popular show.
The new range is expected to be launched in India by October end and will be made available for purchase to Indian consumers through Headphone Zone.
RHA has been known in the past for their great sounding In-Ears that pair wonderfully the Apple iPhone, such as the MA750i, T10i and T20i. In an interesting departure from the norm, the new CL1 Ceramic and CL750 will both be high impedance earphones at 150 Ohms catering primarily to the growing audiophile community interested in High-Res Audio. The portable DACAMP L1 is meant to pair wonderfully with both these earphones while offering convenient compatibility with both iOS and Android devices. RHA's philosophy of using high quality materials including aircraft grade aluminium and stainless steel continues to be reflected in their new line up.
“This new collection has been developed for users who demand more from personal audio, our goal being to replicate full hi-fi experiences on the go,” explained RHA Product Director, Lewis Heath. “Launching a brand new, specialist range of products that represent our commitment to innovation in technology, design and manufacturing is the perfect way to mark the fifth anniversary of the company’s founding.”
The DACAMP L1 is a fully balanced headphone amplifier and DAC with dedicated channel processors. RHA’s first product in the category, the DACAMP L1 uses an ES9018K2M DAC chip and class AB amplifier for each stereo channel; a configuration which enables the processing of the highest quality digital audio files from mobile and desktop source devices. The DACAMP L1 transmits high-resolution analogue audio signals to a wide range of headphones via balanced or unbalanced outputs.
The RHA – DACAMP L1 will be launched with an MRP of Rs. 44,990 in India.
Ceramic Optimised for use with amplifiers, the CL1 Ceramic combines two unique transducer technologies to exert unprecedented levels of control over an extended frequency range. The headphone’s CL Dynamic transducer has been engineered for bass and midrange accuracy, while the ceramic plate driver generates precise upper frequency and harmonic tones. The CL1 also features RHA’s first high-density ceramic housings and detachable cable system with mouldable over-ear hooks, affording high levels of both durability and comfort.
The RHA – CL1 will be launched with an MRP of Rs. 39,990 in India.
The CL750 uses RHA’s ultra-wideband CL Dynamic transducer for authentic sound reproduction up to 45kHz. Drawing design inspiration from the critically-acclaimed MA750, it features stainless steel housings in RHA’s Aerophonic™ design, in addition to a new braided OFC cable. With an impedance of 150 ohms, the CL750 is optimised for use with amplifiers, and is certified as high-resolution audio capable by the Japan Audio Society.
The RHA – CL750 will be launched with an MRP of Rs. 11,990 in India.
