Their currently supreme flagship model is the HE1000, a full-size open-back headphone chock full of unique advancements and newly engineered materials. Like a deep ocean diver bringing back buried musical pearls, the HiFiMAN HE1000 rises to the top with more detail retrieval ability than any other HiFiMAN headphone to date. 5. Audeze - iSine 20

It’s not often that you see a new pair of headphones that upsets the basic taxonomy of personal audio gear, but Audeze’s new iSine series is precisely that. There is nothing subtle about the design and appearance of the iSine 20. The large hexagon frame of the iSINE immediately grabs your attention. Through its lateral fenestration, the gold-tinged grills create a nice contrast with the darker housing. The iSINE is one of the largest IEMs you could ever witness. With all the humongous things being said, they just weigh 20g, thus keeping it firm and tight in your ears.

6. JH Audio - Rosie

JH Audio has joined forces with Astell&Kern to expand the highly regarded Siren series. Specifically tuned for the Astell&Kern range of portable MQS players and including a dedicated balanced cable for a true balanced sound. 7. Sennheiser - HD800S

The Sennheiser HD800S is the revised HD800 offering an improved low-end response over the original and a cool updated black color scheme. Sure, it’s a welcome enhancement in bass presence but exactly how much better is the HD 800S than the original? Safe to say new buyers should definitely look here, but previous HD800 owners need not fret - the sound is fairly close between the two models.

8. Sennheiser - IE800

The IE800 in-ear headphones represent one of the industry's premiere dynamic driver high-end earphones; specifically designed for easy wear and on the go use. 9. Beyerdynamic - T1 (2nd Gen)

The expansively deep soundstage imaging and precise tonal balance of the Beyerdynamic Tesla T1 headphone is a stunning feat of audio engineering, partly due to freshly patented driver arrays creating over '1 Tesla' of flux density at the voice coil. This remarkable advancement results in extraordinarily accurate signal response, immeasurably quick dynamic range extension and beautifully uncluttered timbral textures. The stringent build quality and attention to manufacturing detail is superb, as is the strong pewter-gray look. Hand made in Germany; individually serial numbered. Newly updated design with a detachable cable system.

10. Oppo - PM-1

This is Oppo’s first foray into the world of high end Planar Magnetic Headphones and what a headphone they have made. Being known for making some of the best High-End Blu Ray players on the market, Oppo has an understanding for what the High-End market wants and after entering the smartphone market, they also know the kind of quality people expect from high-end smartphones. Super lightweight design, luscious sound, and fully featured the OPPO PM-1 Planar Magnetic headphone offers a different way of thinking about planar magnetic technology. The PM-1 is characterized by its natural, dynamic, and engaging sound quality with an emphasis on comfort and reduced weight. A very smooth, warm sound signature with great detail and extension. The bass is tight and accurate, but may lack the overall punch and impact some may require for certain genres of music. It is the result of many years of research led by a team comprised of passionate audio and acoustics engineers, chemical and materials scientists, and audiophiles. A number of technological breakthroughs have made their way into the PM1, including the use of a unique 7-layer diaphragm, double-sided spiraling coils, and an FEM-optimized magnet system.

Get ready to jot down your bucket list for your dream headphones.

Hey Parikshit,
Regarding your query about Shure SE846 vs the Audeze iSine 20, they both use different technologies to reproduce sound. The Audeze iSine 20 is more advanced in that matter. But the choice falls upon what you like better.
Thank you.
