Campfire Audio started small before growing big, just like a bonfire starts with a small flicker of light. Their aim is to create something special for those who care about their audio the most. Each model in their range has been refined over the years to create what we hear today—including the Comet.
The Comet has been designed in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. Each piece is carefully assembled and polished by hand. This ensures a superior build due to the attention paid to every detail. Thus, this in-ear is one of the finest in its class.
The perfect fit cannot be anything but perfect. The Comet is built to fit you easily. Just slip it into your ears and it will feel snug. The over-ear wires help them stay put.
1) Beryllium copper mmcx
2) Stainless steel housing
3) Tuned acoustic expansion chamber™
4) Machined grill spout
Each part of the Comet is carefully made, assembled and inspected. Thus, for absolute great quality, it is only possible to create these IEMs in a small batch. When you own an Comet, you are one of few who have a pure audio marvel in hand (or in-ears).

Campfire Audio has some of the best audiophile high-end headphones in the market. The Comets are a radical shift from their design and product philosophy. These sounds very crisp and are tight on either side of the sound spectrum. I am a fan of many genres of music, which include, Hindustani Classical, Western Classical, Hard Rock, Death Metal, Trash Metal, Classical instrumental and Lecture Demonstrations (spoken words). While I have other in-ears and have auditioned, other, single BA's these shine in every aspect. The 1K, 100K and the 10000K are very well preserved and the mids are very good. The trebs are not harsh and are slightly on the warmer side. Being a 48-Ohm driver, i thought that I’d need to use my amps to power these; but boy was i wrong. I am able to listen to these on my phone without any issues and the sound is loud even without amplification. The cables are also of good quality but i am not sure of the durability of these, only time can tell. Since these are MMCX connectors, you can swap these for different cables are there are plenty available in the market. I let them burn for 48 hours before starting to use them (i know the BA's don’t need burn in, but some habits are hard to go by). I listened to Pink Floyd (Learning to fly, On the turning around) first as they have a very good sound stage in their recordings and all the details were intact. The Mids were more forward than the lows and trebs. Switching over to Lamb of God (Laid to Rest, Redneck, Overlord) the sound separation between the bass guitars, Lead Guitar, Vocals and Drums were very good. Indian Classical albums are not the best example of good production values but the presented the vocals just the way they need to be (Pandit Mallikarjun Mansur - Raag Aadambari Kedar, Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan - Raag Darbari). Instruments with accompaniments and percussion also sound pretty lively. The Bang for buck for these pairs are simply mind blowing. Dont give these a miss ! Highly Recommended
A complete package! Great sound, build quality and accessories. Well worth the money.
Its simply so musical & natural at the same time, the layering & separation is beyond expectation, bass is so accurate & highs are so well defined & airy. Mids are very natural sounding.
Wonderful experience, terrific buy
Campfire comet are just awesome. Using them for past 10 days this are my new daily commuting earphones. This are not a head Turner in looks but the Build quality is nice just not sure about the wire. Comes with plethora of tips including silicon, spinfits and foam (use foam for excellent noise isolation). Great highs & mids, lows are a little absent in some songs but when it comes it just feels natural, nothing is over emphasized. This are good for listening to classical music indian & western, live music,po dcasts. If you like your music to be immersive and natural this are the ones to get.
First I will start with packaging, it was minimalist approach and small and simple, I loved it.
The Earphones themselves look like hairdryer, have beautiful finish in stainless Steel and incredibly small in size. ( It can easily enter inside your ear if you have big ears). It is very comfortable for long hours of listening.
Coming to sound, the highs are perfect and crisp especially high hats and claps.
The high and low mids are very good with proper depth except I find little change male vocals( maybe my ears).
As it is single BA, it's not bass heavy earphone and at the same time the lows are not completely absent ,it is just near perfect reproduction of the recording.
I mostly listen to rock, jazz, soundtracks and classical instrument solos so it the best Earphones I can ask for this price point.
You won't be disappointed if you are not a basshead and especially these are not for EDM lover.
I have pulled the trigger on Campfire Audio Comet in the hope that I will find a great IEM for daily use. I can clearly say after two weeks of use that the comet has clearly overachieved on my expectations, mainly on sound quality.
It is as robust as you imagine it: feels like a single solid block of nicely polished steel that has a good sense of heft to it. I have not experienced any issues with small size as reviews on other sites stated. Feels like it would go on for couple of years until the cable need to be changed to keep going.
I would not consider myself audiophile enough to judge on the soundstage and to compare them with other high-end IEMs. But can say that it opens up another dimension if you are coming from bass-heavy headphones. At first I did not like it immediately due to the lack of visceral "slam" of bass, but soon realized that I am having much more "presence" in music. The Comet shows what you have been missing in the veil of overwhelming bass rumble. In a nutshell I would say that the bass is accurate and absolutely present, but without the rumble feel. The mids are really underlined and has a lot of detail, while the treble feels stronger than a typical bass-heavy headphone although not overstated.
What was game changer for me is to discover a completely different part of my music that I have largely neglected before. I have found myself listening to a much more wider range of genres just because now I can appreciate its sound properly, which was not possible with my prior earphones.
I think CA has introduced the Comet in the hope that some people might consider upgrading to their higher-end models and it is absolutely spot on. Before I have not even though of spending this amount of money on earphones, but now I find myself considering CA's Andromeda more and more as a viable option to move forward.
I would like to thank Headphone Zone Team for fulfilling my order in a very short time.
