These are really good IE monitors nodoubt. Go ahead with confidence and you won't rue your decision. The form factor and isolation levels actually makes it best suited for professional use.. and air travel ;). The lows are really deep, the Soundstage is not very wide and airy but is satisfying.
If you are looking at this product, also consider sennheiser ie800 and jvc Ha-fw01 which for some could have more presence and have a more soul satisfying Soundstage at much lower prices.
The SE846 has one of the best packaging and bundled accessories package of all the IEMs, which exudes luxury and class. The build quality is almost military grade and feels solid.
While SE846 is very sensitive and pairs with any player easily, it really shines with a hires DAP.

In conclusion, this can prove to be the best IEM to a significant percentage of ears that have the privilege to experience this product.
People looking at JHaudio products, do your wallets and ears a big favour and audit this product, this IMHO much better and you will be smiling ear to ear!

First of all they do sound really good. I read all the great reviews about them, then I finally decided to give them a Shot. I used them mostly with my Ipod, Iphone. I would admit, I haven't used them with any dedicated DMP/PMP. As it is true also, most of the time our smartphones are our pet music player and we spend most of our time listening to music on them. They do sound really good. I own quite a few ones in ears- RHA t10i, t20i's, Bose QC20i, 1more triple driver, sennheiser IE800's and few more bose ones. In comparison to my IE800(competitor), I liked the se846 more. Sound seperation is better in Here. But question to myself is- is it really worth spending around 70K for that sound. When I give a thought over that, I really think my RHA T20i's are still the more VFM as their soundstage is also fantastic at less than quarter of what SE846 costs. So, my conclusion is- if you have extra money to spend - Buy these. These sound really good. Otherwise, RHA is also fantastic sounding earphones and gives you more satishfaction for your Bucks.

They are absolutely stunning & have a better sound stage as compared to any other IEM's in the market.
You will certainly hear out many other instruments or layers in a song that were not that visible before. Kudos to the SHURE Audio Engineering Team, the multiple micro drivers & filters that make it possible!

A bit pricey, however, it's worth the money you pay to own a pair of these little monsters :)

The package that I got was the latest build June 2016. Unboxing experience was pleasant. Unlike the ones seen on YouTube, the new packaging is in a white hard box & opens up from the bottom! Yes, the seal is at the bottom of the package.

Box price is INR 98K!!! I got it for 64.9K with a pair of free medium memory ear foams - Thanks to Head Phone Zone Team!

You get 4 additional filters (2 pairs each) that you can fix on to the IEM modules. The modules come with a balanced filter from factory & would suit most audiophiles. However, if you are a bass head, you can just unscrew the factory filter & replace it with the low freq. filter & enjoy your music!!! Same goes with the high freq. filter.

And yes, you get a bunch of accessories with the IEM -

I removed the default medium sized memory ear sleeves that came factory fitted. I personally don't seem to get a proper air seal with memory foams, the medium silicone ones suit me better than any other sleeves.

2 months since i am using this earphones now its time for a review....

I also own a ultimate ears custom's which sound wow but Sure SE 846 just wins the race in all aspects ... The Low the Mid n the Highs are just so perfectly carved .....

SE846 are so light in weight and they just get in the ear with that perfect fit, u will forget there is something in your ears..

As this come with 3 different types of filters u need this earphone to make them sound good for you by selecting the proper one,
As everyone has there choice of music here are small hint on selecting the filter
Black --- high bass (Rap, Hiphop)
Blue -- Balance (Pop, Rock, Trance)
White-- highs (Lounge, Instrumental )

One thing before you buy: SE846 Needs a high quality sound source or you will find sound quality lower then mid range earphones ....

Got the se 846 yesterday, must say this is a big stepup from my ie80s, sound is very much detailed and vocals are amazing and instruments have great separation, my senns never sounded good right away from unboxing, but these are spot on, still on the stock blue filters, and using only my iPhone, also the bass is so soothing rather than my senns, build quality is awesome and is tremendously ahead of ie800 as well.

I have never shopped with headphonezone earlier and these are my first purchase, but these guys are spot on like the headphones itself, my iems were delivered the next day after shipping, awesome packaging as well, would suggest headphonezone to keep more cable options, i know audio enthusiasts in India are scarce but we are there, it would be really helpful if you keep high end cables like Silver Dragon IEM from moon audio, the inline remote+mic shure cable etc.

Thanks to Headphonezone, Shure and guys at Headfi who urged to go for these instead of 535s and now i am having such an amazing euphoric music experience.

As the IEM features four drivers, it is on the larger side. Fitting the device takes some time as the cable loops over and around the year while it is a bit difficult fitting the monitor into the ear due to its design and size. A large selection of rubber and foam tips are provided and choosing the ideal fit ensures comfort and sound isolation.
The detailing is outstanding. The dedicated 'subwoofer' provides deep bass that is controlled and not muddy. It can play ridiculously loud without distortion. The blue filter was fitted as I felt that the neutral filter was suppressing some brightness. A dedicated media player that can handle its low impedance of 16ohms is highly recommended when spending such an amount on these IEMs. However, the transparency and dimensionality that can be provided by planar magnetic drivers is missing.
The Shure SE 846 is an exceptional product that offers class leading audio quality. However, I do prefer the sound put out by planar magnetic based units from Magnepan or Hi-Fi man.
