A high resolution digital audio player or headphone amplifier will bring out the best sound. Finely tuned neodymium drivers in the heart of the E80C offer breathtaking sound reproduction that is clear and balanced without emphasizing any frequencies. The bass is also well defined in the E80C.

"These sound very good to me. The low end reaches well into the sub-bass region, while the mid-bass gives my ears a very nice slam for electronic and EDM tracks."

First of all hearty thanks to many staff team of headphonezone for their patience to hear my doubts and irrelevant things at times.
Ok here it goes. After months of research i finally took LG G6 Quad dac version mobile for audio purpose and i needed a pair of good high impedance earphones which are not burning wallets too .
Basically i was a basshead lover using Sony Xb-70Ap.
This time i wanted to try something different which emphasized more on instrument detail of music but without losing the bass.
I landed upon Soundmagic E80C accidentally for it's high impedance drivers.
Things i felt different was
1. I could hear the plucking/striking sound of strings of guitar just before the sound.
2. I could differentiate the Rock music beats(shallow) and Edm music beats(deep) well... Which is first time i appreciate . For basshead lovers, you know well if one could love bass of this one it means it got that deep thump without muffling other instruments at same time.
3. I could hear the vocal belting and screaming sound more sharply like of Audioslave singer our dear Late Chris Cornell who is famous for his FOUR OCTAVES OF VOICE.
Inshort i know well am right now experiencing a new phase of music listening.
Those who buy E80C for regular mobile phone i strongly recommend to buy a portable dac too because man!!! this earcan do wonders and it's true potential revealed when connected to dac or dac inbuilt Mobile like LG G6 and V20.
Thanks again for Headphonezone team members!!!
My search for a good pair of High Impedance earphones to be used with my LG-G6 ended with the E80C. These earphones sound phenomenal when paired with the quad-dac in the G6 and triggers the high impedance mode. The sound is simply awesome with rich notes , great treble and a good bass. The bass may not be of the thumping variety , but it is nicely balanced and a pleasure to hear.
The headphones are value for money , have great build and come with a host of accessories that include : S/M/L silicone eartips of 2 types , Double Flange silicone eartips , S/M/L Comply Foam eartips , Cable clip , Carrying Hardcase , Computer adatper (in case your computer has separate leads for earphone and microphone) and an additional phone adapter.
The earphones are very comfortable to wear and provide good noise isolation as well. However a word of caution , if you do buy these earphones , please do ensure that your phone has a hifi dac or you have an external one available.
The real performance of the earphones comes to life when your phone is able to drive it with sufficient output power. The experience of listening to music (standard MP3 variety , not even the lossless ones) through these ear phones when connected to the hifi dac output of the LG - G or V series handsets vs other phones that does not have this feature is noticeably different.
Now for a word on the service provided by headphonezone - just awesome. Delivered to my home the very next day after placing the order !, and I live in the opposite side of the country from the place of dispatch.
Go for it. I have lg g7( quad dac). The sound is amazing . Crystal clear with medium bass
I have been using these earphones since a year with my LGV20 and haven't looked back since then.
The high impedance mode on my LGV20 kicks off as soon as I plug them and the sound quality, balance and sound stage is all awesome.
In fact, I consider the sound quality of this earphone as my base for buying any new earphones or headphones.
This is a must buy for all LG Phone users whose phone have a built in DAC !!!
Great product, The best match for LG V30+ in the budget. Sound is rich and dynamic with a wide soundstage.
Getting all tiny details in the music. I am loving it.
I personally prefer slightly boosted lows(not too much boosted though), natural mids and slightly rounded highs and an overall nice soundstage.
This headphone pretty such satisfied everything except that the highs does not seems to be rounded or sometimes I get a feel that it is showing up more than what actually it is present in the source. I hope Soundmagic like how they have come up with E11C as an improvement over E10C, comes up with something like E81C with highs rounded so that you dont feel the irritation
E80 impedance is lil high to give us a wider sound stage if these pairs are connected to amplifier or lg phone like v30 or v40 or g6 or g7 these will shiw you the real power what they can do.It has balanced sound and crystal clear beats definitely it will change your way to listing the music bass is also well balanced with good highs mids and lows.Perfect earphones for my lg phone.
I had an E80 which lasted me for a year and some of rough use. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound when coupled with my LG V30+. It was like a revelation to me about how much more, bass accented and cheap IEMs like Sony XB50ap and Senheisser CX 180 are unable to express in a song owing to less technical capabilities.
I prefer mids over bass accented and V - Shaped sound signatures and while the sound of E80/E80C is centred around clear detailed vocals the top end does get a bit overly hot on certain tracks like 'Tinnie Tempah's Pass Out'. But the sibliance only appears in like 5 songs in a list of 100 and in the rest of the playlist like with ,'Paramore's Misery Business' adds an enjoyable amount of sparkle to the top end which once you get used to, will find any other flat sounding earphones to be dull and dry.The bass region has good slam and texture and gets funky when it needs to.Try 'Joymer Lucas's Isis' or 'Billie Elijah's Bad Guy' and its right enough.
Although if you are looking for a warm smooth sound, look elsewhere as it can get cold and analytical with certain recordings like, 'Hey Monday's Homecoming' and 'Eminem's Not afraid'.The foam tips included do help to smooth out the excess treble quite a bit but I personally don't consider them a practical choice in everyday use as they age pretty quickly and cost a hefty sum. On the positive side of things though, after a few months of regular listening the sound opens up a bit more and the treble becomes a bit more refined.
I recently bought the E11C too from HPZ as looking at its frequency graph I figured it would be closer to neutral than it actually turned out to be. I have nothing against it although. Its cheaper and actually built better, its just that it caters to a different crowd than what I am out looking for. Its well V -Shaped with recessed mids and boomy bass. The treble is a tad little tame with it but technicalities like grain handling and bass texture is where it starts speaking its lower price language. Turns out my brother is a basshead and he loves them. So I had to order another set of E80Cs which have become a safe bet for me.
Of course there are better sounding costlier IEMs out there with smoother treble but even they aren't without their subjective flaws just like the E80C. Some are V - Shaped and veiled, others sound too thin, smooth or warm, Some have grain, some have strident mids while others lack durability and comfort while at the same time costing more. The E80C is above average in most of these departments while really outstanding and surpassing other costlier IEMs in transparency, separation and lively mids. The soundstage is about a fishbowl size around the head and instrument placement is spacious enough for a closed back IEM. Its sadly lacking detachable cables but is still durable enough if you are not too rough with it and is so comfortable that unless you have special ears you can easily sleep on your sides with it. The fact that it can be worn straight down and not over the ear like any other good sounding Chi - Fi IEM is another winner for me as its hard to find such IEMs with audiophile grade balance nowadays. The Final Audio E series is the only other series I can think of in this price range but that is unavailable in India right now. Also it has a Mic of average quality for phone calls.
Buy it if you love mid centric and comfortable earphones and aren't sensitive to treble. And another thing although it has a high impedance and many people think they will need top end dacs and LG quad dacs to drive it, it actually sounds about the same and quite loud with my iPhone SE too and the controls work seamlessly with both IOS and Android.
This was my second purchase from here and the delivery was on time although the outer box was a little squished in transit. Still the product was nicely bubble wrapped and in mint condition so kudos to Headphone Zone for that.
Now if only you guys could bring some Moondrop Aria IEMs to the Indian market as I heard they have a well sculpted tonality for their asking price. Really need to add them to my now growing IEM collection thanks to your website.
First up, a lot of peeps complain about hpz service, but I have had a wonderful experience thus far. I picked mine up from the warehouse in chennai. Druva ( I hope I got that right) went back and forth hooking me up with the e80c. From the time of placing the order, I got mine in under 2 hours. Beat that Amazon!
Now on to the sound. This reminds me of hd 6xx. Similar sq, mids are front and center. Clear and clean. The vocals pop without drowning the instruments, ima go on say this is neutral-bright tuning. There is tight controlled base. Although this is by no way a bass heavy iem. The treble is clear. Only con I find is subbass is meh. But I knew that going in. It's better than the t2 pro from tin audio. Idk why these aren't more recommended.
Tl;Dr :: has a similar signature as the hd 6xx at a fraction of the price. This is a must buy imo. Comfortable, built well and clear sounding. Impressive.
