sound wise these earphones are awesome but if these are worn for long time, sweets would form inside the ear. Also, sound isolation is a little less. It pains i, worn for a long time.
Hey Abhijit, no one, absolutely no one here in the office could figure out what sweets in the ear mean. We are very curious. Please reply.
The requirement: I needed a headphone which was well adapted for travel, running, and some listening time at home. I shortlisted RHA, Shure etc but hit on Forza V-Moda as adviced by Headphone Gurus's here.
Forza: These babies are small. Tiny. Come packaged handsomely with a plethora of accessories. These small additions are very useful for getting the actual fit and goes a long way in making these comfortable over long periods. Once you find the right fit, these disappear in your ears and sometimes you forget they are there. These are very very comfortable and can be used over long periods without any fatigue or discomfort. They do not heat up. The sports accessories are good and helps in keeping the ear buds in place. The 3.5 inch connector may be a weak spot, but that time will only tell.
The sound: My source is Samsung Galaxy S7. App Neutron. Songs are encoded in minimum 320 Kbps Mp3 going all the way up to FLAC 24 Bit. Special mention of neutron app. This app is for Audiophiles and priced at Rs 400. It has got a separate audio engine from Android and that makes the sound better. The customization options are huge. Coming back to the sound review. I listen to songs ranging from Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, to David Guetta, to Other EDM, Pop tracks, Jazz, Western Classical, Hindi Bollywood. Though small in size, these bring out the best sound and it pleasantly surprises you. The bass is good, not overpowering, mids are well spaced out, highs are crisp. The overall sound is unbelievable coming from this small speakers. These do need some burn in period to open up. I am quite enjoying these buds and would like to thank Headphone zone for the nice suggestion. The experience with headphone zone was amazing. Got delivery before time and the packaging and tape was special. Thanks guys.
Build Quality: 8/10
Noise Isolation: 9/10 (Very good even on planes)
Issues: 1. Noise from wires 2. Picks up sound of walking etc on lo...
When i first heard these i was like oh no i wasted my money and now i have to live with these .I am realy a bass bass bass head ,before this vmodas earphons i was using sony xb70 . i was missing things in my music i didnt even new. I was like bass hungry person . But after spending half an hour listning to these my taste of music got changed . Now i am craving for more clearity. These are my first hi.res earphons so have no idea how other good earphons sound but can say these are good. And also these are very comfortable and when they are in your ears they are in just use right ear tips. Just giving 4 stars coz i dont know how other earphons sound but these are realy realy good
Similar review i had posted for the wireless version.
DISCLAIMER: REVIEW CAN BE EXHAUSTIVE :-)
This is my 4th pair (2 wired and 2 wireless)well, coming from Bose, RHA (10 & 20) , Klipsch, Senns, Shure and budget ones...One thing is clear music is not all about BASS! I was inclined to it when I started collecting earphones and wanted more bass but then realized it is not the only thing in the music. the amount of effort the musicians put to create a magic is all washed out if the earphones are too BASSY..OHTER major thing to note is concept of "Burn IN" is a myth. Let me explain, your ears, mind and brain get accustomed to a particular sound of earphones. If you change from the stock/budget earphones to a premium one you will certainly notice a difference, but if you change from a premium to another premium initially it may sound pathetic till the time u get used to it. so reiterating my earlier point on Burn Ins it is all on your mind (i have gone through it myself). i was using RHA t20i for some time and then when i moved to V-Moda forza (wired) that I bought few months before this one,it sound bad to me. But listening it for few days and after absorbing the sound it is just wow.
COMING to V-moda Forza, the sound signature is amazing. it has got amazing clarity and thumping beats. Bass heads can stop reading and move on. By saying this I do not mean that Bass is not present, it is plentiful and well rounded. In fact after using it for a while i didnt even want to go back to RHAs. the higher range is awesome with no sibilance ( RHA had this issue). Mids are not recessed and you can clearly relate to the male/female voice with instruments separation. not leaking of Low end to the Mids or highs. I heard "Stairway to Heaven" and was completely blown out. I heard few details that i never heard before..
In totality, Guys just go for it...i bet my bucks on these..:-) Happy Musicinggggg..chow..
(Do not Mind my typo/grammar)
These are my thoughts after using the V-Moda Forza earphones for the past 10 days.
COMFORT - They are an extremely comfortable pair of earphones especially when paired with the Comply Sport tips. The wingtips provided with the earphones help keep them seated in the ear with little to no wiggle during workout sessions. I have ears that are on the bigger side, so I have a hard time with wearing in-ear style earphones for a long without them falling out gradually over a period of time and me having to constantly adjust them. But these simply stayed in my ears for over 2 hours straight, never had to adjust them even once after they are seated properly in the ear.
SOUND - The sound signature is really good too, I used to own a V-Moda M100 Crossfade headphone and these little in-ears pretty much have a similar sound signature (good tight bass, but not overwhelming and muddy). It is a real joy listening to music on them. I mainly listen to Trap and Metal - the former requires tight bass and the latter requires a solid midrange for the guitars, and these earphones did not disappoint. They are really versatile and could handle both types of scenarios with no issues.
BUILD QUALITY - They are as rugged as they get for an all plastic construction from what I can feel. I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of the usual kevlar reinforced cables that V-Moda tends to use in almost all of their other products... but given the relatively low price point of these earphones it is understandable.
CONS - My only issue is that if I did not buy the wireless version, if only I knew how good these felt beforehand I would have bought those instead. :D
VERDICT - They get my recommendation any day of the week.
These are hands down the most comfortable in-ears I have ever used. They are so light weight that sometimes you even forget wearing them. The included ear tips provide a snug fit. The cable is just about the right length for physical activities. The included sport fins definitely add to the comfort factor. To top it all, they sound brilliant. Emphasis on bass without sacrificing details. The snug fit allows you to enjoy the best sound they have to offer.
I bought these earphones because I cannot afford the high end V-MODAs. And I'm sure many of you guys know that V-MODA is a brand used by Martin Garrix and Avicii (RIP). I'm the type of person who uses earphones for music production as I don't find headphones comfortable at all. You know, if you are person who is not interested in brutal bass, like um... *BASS*, and care more about the Clarity of the audio reaching you, you will not regret buying these bois. Despite of being the cheapest V-MODAs, these bois pack a lot of punch and gosh.... These ARE one of the most comfortable earphones available. And man, what noise isolation! The only thing I found wrong about them is the amount of cable noise generated during running and stuff. But thankfully, you found a solution for that inside the box itself. Go buy them!
The first thing i noticed was the soundstage. It has amazing stereo imaging which is fun in watching movies.
The sound is balanced. Its not at all bassy.
Bass is like blabber. If you get it. I really liked it.
The mids are present in a good quantity unlike my previous RHA S500.
The treble shine. Not like the RHA but this is what i exactly wanted.
Only problem: Right one keeps coming out of the ear. Tried all bud sizes. Will have to put some other earbuds maybe.
1. Cables dint get tangled.
2. Tips fit well in ear and isolation is good. I like it.
3. Using it with galaxy s8+. After approx 15 hours burn in.
4. Sound is decent. Bass is tight.
5. Instrumental separation is decent but not impressive. I feel it lacking somewhere.
6. I never experienced v shape sound signature before. I personally dint like it. I feel hollowness in it.
7. Missed some background instruments of lower SOUND. or hard to hear those sometime.
8. I have used RHA previously and felt them harsh on ears due to treble enhancement. Rha was strict no from me. V moda feels good and No issues with treble or bass level with them.
9.AKG tuned ear peaces got with s8+, feels better than forza.
10. Malaysia manufacturered, assembled in China.
Not much impressed. Feel OK OK. With product.
