  • Most Serious Tube Amp for Its Price

Some cheap (and even expensive) tube amps don’t use tubes to their full potential, “starving” them with low plate voltages or using op-amp buffers for output. Not the Vali 2. Vali 2 uses a unique, class-leading power supply that gives you 60V on the plate. Along with a fully discrete, current-mode noninverting hybrid topology, Vali 2 redefines what you can expect from an affordable tube amp, even at 2 times its price.

    Roll Your Own Sound

The Vali 2 is supplied with a single NOS 6BZ7 tube, which can be swapped for other Schitt tubes like those used in the Lyr 2. You can use virtually any of the tubes to “roll” the sound to your own preference. In addition, you only need a single tube, so rolling is easy and more affordable!

Serious Power, Gain Switching, Preamp Outputs

Vali delivers 1W into 32 ohms for hard-to-drive headphones—while providing a low gain mode for low-noise performance with sensitive headphones. You can also use the preamp outputs to add a tube preamp to your power amp or powered monitors.

    Made in USA

The vast majority of the total production cost of Vali 2—chassis, boards, assembly, etc—goes to American companies manufacturing in the US. Making Schiit's Vali 2 truly 'Made in USA'.

Best sound for Headphones, not so best as a pre-amp

I decided to purchased an entry level tube amp / preamp after sitting on the fence for far too long, the Vali2 fits the bill just fine. The tonal quality isnt too much like the more capable elder brothers from Schiit but the soundscape is very nicely handled, the mids are where the Vali2 shines. My setup need this to be used as a Headphone amp aswell as a PreAmp (trying to squeeze the most of the tube from Vali2) it doesnt shine in the preamp section. The PreAmp matching to a PowerAmp is really difficult and the circuit switching to the tube produces a buzz each time scaring the hell out of you and your speakers. Its best to avoid using it as a PreAmp. The Amp itself works very well and you get what you pay for. 5 stars for the Vali2 as a Headphone Amp and 2 stars as a PreAmp.
