The SR25 MKII features an updated Quad-core CPU along with the Cirrus Logic CS43198 Dual-DAC chip. It also extends native playback support for DSD256 and adds compatibility for MQA and LDAC protocols.

The Astell&Kern SR25 MKII comes with Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) support. MQA authentication is a badge of approval, guaranteeing players master-quality audio output. The device can perform 8x decoding of MQA files to deliver outstanding sound quality. To further enhance the signal path, the SR25 MKII now comes with 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.4mm output options allowing you to connect to various devices. ENJOY MUSIC WIRELESSLY WITH BT SINK AND SHARE FILES VIA AK FILE DROP
The Astell&Kern A&norma SR25 MKII comes with the newly introduced BT Sink function. This feature allows you to connect the SR25 MKII to an external device via Bluetooth, similar to connecting a smartphone with a BT speaker. Music from an external device, such as a smartphone can now be played back in high-quality on the SR25 MKII using the BT Sink function. SR25 MKII also comes with the new AK File Drop function, making file transfers easier and more convenient. Using AK File Drop, you can freely transfer files wirelessly through a PC, smartphone, or FTP program located on the same network. Music file management is now possible with a wireless solution.

COMPLETELY REDESIGNED CHASSIS TO DELIVER ARTEFACT FREE AUDIO
Astell&Kern A&norma SR25 MKII comes with a redesigned chassis. The top and bottom edges of the bezel are angled, giving the impression of a smaller rectangle floating freely inside the chassis. The pattern on the side is designed to draw attention to the volume wheel. This redesigned chassis is made of aluminium and features noise and electromagnetic shield cans to reduce interference with the audio signal. This design is further enhanced by applying a highly conductive, hyper-pure silver plating on the shield cans for superior shielding that provides excellent audio performance.

Some apps such as Spotify and Tidal support offline mode. For full instructions, please see the instructions of the corresponding application. Also, some apps allow for you to choose the location of where the files are stored. To save storage space on the device, you may choose files to be saved to the the external memory (microSD card) tin the settings of the app.
Note: You will not be able to access these files outside of the application, they will be hidden.
2. Once all files are downloaded as accessible for offline mode, turn off WiFi on the player.
3. Access your offline content in the Tidal app and press play.
Note: You will still be able to directly access your currently playing content through the Notification Bar while the app is running.
