The SP2000 Case case adds to the beauty of the player. This case is available in two variants of leather which enhances the SP2000's elegant design and its advanced crown pattern wheel.
The black colour variant features Buttero leather from Walpier. This leather uses the shoulder of cowhide. Neck creases of blood vessels can be seen in the shoulder area. To keep the natural texture intact, the leather is dyed with vegetable tanning instead of the traditional chrome tanning pigment technique. Besides elasticity, the rich fibre density leads to rich or excellent colour generation like Italia. Over the course of usage, the leather case will become more lustrous and transparent, giving a different feeling.
The Walpier Tannery was founded in 1973 in San Miniato, Tuscany. The business has a legacy of three generations of designing 100% French-imported cow hair leather products using the vegetable tanning process. This process takes 40 days and uses the extractions from a variety of trees. This unique tanning process followed by Walpier is only practised by Italian tanners of the world.
The Juniper Green colour variant utilises the Elbamatt leather made by Tempesti. The Elbamatt leather is a high-grade leather and has high density and thickness within the various parts of the cow. It is highly resistant to scratches owing to its high oil content that adapts to changes over the course of time.
Tempesti led to the founding of Vera Pelle which is an association of vegetable tanning from Italy. It has been in the business of leather from 1945 for four generations. Tempesti has honoured the legacy of vegetable tanning by producing the finest leather in vibrant colours. The company follows animal and environment protection standards for rawhide. This standard is implemented by Northern European countries including the top markets for rawhide i.e. France, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium.
