DESCRIPTION

The Austrian Audio Hi-X15 headphones feature a circum-aural closed-back design. This design meets the demands of high-resolution audio production. The sound is crisp with a frequency response of 12Hz to 24kHz. The Over-ear design provides a secure fit and is comfortable for longer listening sessions.

The Hi-Xcursion (High Excursion) technology embedded in the Hi-X15 headphones is the key to their astonishing sound. These headphones feature a 44mm driver and a ring magnet system. This design is implemented for improved airflow and includes the strongest magnetic field in its class. The ring magnet, combined with a copper-clad aluminium voice coil, reduces the weight of the membrane and the voice coil connected to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction faster, providing a more responsive impulse reaction. This also reduces THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) considerably.

The build quality on the Austrian Audio Hi-X15 headphone is of high quality and they feel sturdy. They feature all-metal hinges and bow for maximum stability and are foldable, making them easy to store and carry around. The Earpads used in the Hi-X15 headphones are made of soft slow retention memory foam. These provide great comfort and are perfectly suitable for long listening sessions. The headphone feels premium on the touch and is comfortable to wear. These headphones are designed, engineered and manufactured in Austria by a team of passionate experts with years of experience in crafting high-quality microphones and headphones. This reflects in every inch of the design and they feel extremely well-crafted.

The Austrian Audio Hi-X15 headphones have a 25 Ohm impedance, which means they achieve optimal results both with high-end and low-powered outputs, such as your laptop or mobile phone. They also come with a detachable 1.4m cable, assembled with a 3.5 mm stereo jack and carefully matched to the technical specs of the headphones. A 3.5 mm-to-6.3 mm stereo jack is included for connection to stationary audio sources. A handy bag is also included for transport.

Ridiculously Inexpensive

WOW! Austrial Audio really nailed this. Previously I owned the HE400i 2020 and DT990 that is 3-4k more expensive than X15 but the X15 excels in every way possible except the soundstage. The amount of details it produces makes a lot of much more expensive HP obsolete in terms of value. The tuning is slightly on the brighter side but not sibilant at all. Transparency and cleanliness is unreal at this price. Build fit and finish is also very good. According to today's HP market this should have been priced at around 25-30k.
One thing I'm really not happy about is that the plastic pouch that held the cable inside was torn, so I think the cable was touched before. I really did not expect this from HPZone.
