Ali Pardiwala, NDTV
" The Fiio X3 (Second Generation) is another victory from the Chinese company that never fails to impress us. It isn't quite the budget champion that the X1 is, nor does it have the reference grade performance that the X5 provides. But is a solid mid-range product that keeps Fiio's flag flying high."
" The sound is more bright and the instrument separation is just amazing. Definitely, the FiiO X3 2nd gen is a worthy upgrade, and if anyone wants a dedicated hi-res music player and has the budget of ~15k then this is definitely the best choice hands down. "
- Highest Sound Precision
The FiiO X3K comes with dual crystal oscillators that are dedicated to produce jitter-free sound; one including DSD and belonging to the 44.1 kHz sequence and one for the 48 kHz sequence.

Titanium Finish with Aluminium Alloy Shell
The FiiO X3K is good looking to say the least. The aluminium alloy shell material provides a strong and durable shield for the hardware elements while the unique titaninum finish adds to its clean appeal. It looks like the stylish version of the older FiiO X1. The all-metal chassis and high grain faceplate brings a fresh appearance to it.

"If you need standalone DAC functionality or are just keen to tweak your sound that little bit without spending too much, then the X3 (Second Generation) is for you. However, if you're trying to keep costs down, the X1 offers practically the same level of performance at a much lower price."
"With high-res audio files, everything good about the X3 became even better. The soundstage became wider and the bass had greater punch but without obscuring the mids and highs. The sound was uniformly excellent with a wide variety of headphones and IEMs, ranging from the cheap-but-great Xiaomi Piston 2 in-ears to the Urbanite XL and Skullcandy Aviators."
"The X3 Second Generation will be available for $199 and what you get in return is a lot. Is it a giant killer? No it isn’t really but the quality it delivers for the price is impressive."
"The X3II is amazing. It drove high impedance headphones like the T90 and HD650 well, has a very low noise floor with IEMs, sounds superb, works as a DAC/Amp on your PC/Mac, With the advancements in sound quality, I don’t see a competitor in its price range."
