The PS1000e over-ear open back headphones are the best that John Grado and his team have to offer. Experience a deep tonal lushness from these top-of-the-line headphones that feature gently enhanced bass and highs along with a coherent, immediate midrange that makes the PS1000e an experience of a lifetime.

The PS 1000e feature a uniquely handtooled design with aluminium integrated into solid wood construction for a tight and accurate driver response. Engineered and manufactured in Brooklyn, USA, the PS1000e well-suited to superbly extended low-volume listening and easily replaceable earpads for headphones that will last a lifetime..

    • Handtooled in Brooklyn, USA

The Grado PS1000e gloss metal outer earcups are uniquely hand-tooled and vary just slightly from headphone to headphone in overall cosmetic look, finish, and logo etching so that no two appear exactly alike. Grado makes each headphone in their sole plant in Brooklyn, NY, USA.

Superior Reference Sound through 50mm Drivers

The PS1000e has a newly designed 50mm driver with a re-imagined voice coil and diaphragm design for incredible speed and accuracy in response. The famous Grado soundstage depth and spaciousness persists in the PS1000e with greater image spatiality and detail resolution. The PS1000e's comes with a deeper soundstage imaging ability, extended upper mids/highs transients and a tightly-focused low bass.

      No Ringing & Transient Distortion

By using tone-wood clad with metal alloy Grado has obliterated ringing in the chamber, and transient distortion. This gives audio professionals a consistent response throughout the frequency range.

Series E Curing Process for Tonal Excellence

The new hybrid design of the PS1000e has an inner sleeve of hand-crafted mahogany made by using the new series 'e' curing process. Its outer housing has been machined from aluminum and then chrome-plated and has employed a special processing and casting method to increase the porosity of the alloy.

Open Back & Over Ear Design

The full-size PS1000e design maintains the large over ear circumaural earcups and the deep-well foam earpad cushions of the GS1000, which makes this headphone one of the most comfortable sets in the entire Grado line.

      Redesigned Cables

Grado has also designed a twelve-conductor cable using a UHPLC (Ultra-High Purity, Long Crystal) copper that improves control and stability of the total range of the frequency spectrum.

    • " The PS1000e is no doubt a masterful headphone, one which will send a true audiophile to audio bliss. Its reference sounding, crystal clear mids and highs and the well defined bass are it’s strongest points. Folks looking for a touch more weight to their bass and do not mind a little loss of articulation may want to give the I series a one last final look"

" The Grado PS1000 are one of the most expensive pairs of headphones you'll find, but they're also one of the best. Powerful bass, wonderfully subtle-but-intense levels of detail and an incredible soundstage make this pair an unbridled joy to listen to, no matter what musical genre you throw at them."
