The Grado family make exquisite headphones by hand in Brooklyn. Each iteration of their products represents a significant step forward in sonic reproduction. Their headphones have already been called "The finest electricity-to-sound transducers in the world".
Grado has earned a reputation for their mid forward yet highly detailed audio quality. The SR80e improves on that by providing sound that feels pure, lively and immersive. The bass punches well when needed, highs are shimmery and detailed and the mids are dynamic and forward for rich audio.

So im coming from hd600&700 and was looking for something easy to drive yet with good detailing can. Headphonezone suggested me el8, isine10 since both of these were out of my budget for now i took a chance with grado sr125e. Unfortunately this was unavailable so the sr225&325. Only sr80e was in stock so I downgraded to this. And thanks headphonezone for the prompt reply and arrangement of the shipping as well as the refund. Coming to this can im fortunate enough to use various headphones and this tiny light weight can this grado is my best buy till date. Brilliant detailing brilliant highs and mids. Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you headphonezone. Lastly one message to headphonezone please make grados more available so tht one doesn't have to downgrade .
Sounds good. They (Headphone Zone) should decrease the price. The free earpads are not good.
These headphones sound good. They have a wide soundstage. They are a little bright, so the vocals shine but all this can't make up for the fact that they are poorly built. I got fatigued after wearing them only for an hour. I expect a better build quality from headphones at this price point, hence 3 star
Thanks HPZ for delivering it in just more than 24hrs after ordering.
Packing is very simple. Just a card board box.
HPs very lightweight. Just disappears on ur head. Though they are on the ear, they form good seal on ur ears.
Nice punchy low end. Firward mids. Airy well extended treble.
Overall very good package for the money u pay.
This is my first pair of "expensive" "audiophile" "open back" headphones. The very first time I heard music on this I knew I will never use any of the old headphones again. The sound stage is just so rich! Possibly my benchmarks are not really the best. But I can say that these sound incredible. Listening to classical music and live music on these pretty much give you a feel of being there. Watched a few movies, again lovely rich sound. Since it doesn't isolate you from the environment you are in, it completely changes the experience.
Not necessarily the best for people who love a lot of bass.
I have multiple number of premier headphones of various international brands. Bose, Sony, Seneisser, Beats, Denon, Marshall and so on. For the first time I discovered the value of a open back design which takes listening pleasure to a new level. I am only an audio enthusiast and not a connoisseur audiophile. Yet I was able to discover unique blend & the incredible difference in bass, mid range & top instrumentation and vocal histrionics of the orchestra. I particularly love the way Headphone Zone is making the purchase process a very enjoyable experience with hands on customer education & service. The range, variety, brand spread, pricing, home audition opportunities, friendly communication make this specialist retailer a rare breed in a crowded online market. It is almost like dealing with a friendly person in an internationally reputed showroom. Great keep it up
The SR80e has a really amazing soundstage with great instrument separation. The mids and treble are outstanding on these cans! A must buy at this price point.
This is my first headphone purchase (and I'm listening to music on them while I write this), and the sound is just great; everything it promises. Of course, it's not built to feel luxurious, but it surely does look great. The only downside is that they aren't the most comfortable, and sometimes my ears hurt if I listen on them too long. Maybe that will change with different ear pads? I don't know. But a good buy nonetheless.
Wonderful headphones for the price. Excels at genres like jazz, classical, rock & acoustic music. May not be the best for electronic & hip hop which rely much on bass. That is not to say the bass is lacking in these headphones.
