What is the deal with all these cables?

Now, there may not be scientific proof whether cables improve the sound of headphones or not but cables do make a difference. There's a 10,000+ members strong forum that would be happy to debate. When describing how headphones sound, most audiophiles describe them in quantifiable terms, be it bright treble or a deep bass sound. These results are clearly audible. But, cables? You have to hear it, to feel it.

To each their own - There's a cable for everyone

"Copper cables after cryo are unbeatable!"
“My experience with silver litz cables is that the low end can be a bit light making them sound brighter”
“I speak out of personal experience, a copper and silver hybrid can give the right blend of warmth and balance…”
We've heard these words many times and you have too. Maybe a hotly debated contest on the forum or main-table discussion at one of our Headphone Connect meetups: The forum has never shied away from a good debate.
Our cables are tailor-made to suit different sound profiles and different headphones. With a plethora of options to choose from and multiple termination combinations, there's a cable for everyone.

This is the perfect IEM for you if you're looking for enhanced clarity without any colouration.

This handcrafted cable consists of 8-core AWG38 (0.1007mm) high-purity OCC single-crystal silver with Teflon insulation. 6N silver transmits the signal faster and with less distortion when compared to ordinary OFC cables. The Teflon insulation offers a predominant air dielectric and is regarded as the best insulator for bare cables. It terminates in a gold-plated carbon connector. This plug has a transparent heatsink on one end and a thermal adhesive on the other. To connect the plug to the cable a Cardas ultra-pure, Quad Eutectic solder is used.

You can assuredly hear the difference

awesome cables, it is very well constructed, cable doesn’t get tangled up, sounds great and makes the headphones sound a tad better, and being connected to differential balanced output, I get more volume at the same setting as SE cables. I won’t get into how differential balanced amps can further reduce noise and artifacts from the DAC/Amp stages. It’s a definite improvement!
I have stuck a review which i liked
Ps : not mine though

Hey there, thanks a lot for the awesome review and we are glad you are enjoying it! Keep the music playing.

Excellent Quality Cable. well Connected

This is my second balanced cable. Initially got one cable and it was not fitting correctly in the device. Now this cable from Headphonezone works perfectly.
Sound quality from Balanced cable is top quality.I am using Fiio BTR5 and beyerdynamic Xelento IEM. Fantastic combination. All the good quality streams sound better than the 3.5 out. The clarity of highs mids and lows are absolutely apt. Good job on producing a good cable. One small wish is that the connector plastic can be of good shiny material to make it real premium for the price we are paying for this cable. Delivery is quick and that is as usual from headphonezone.

Shure Aonic 215 comes to life

The 4.4mm balanced cable from Headphone Zone was my first choice since I have the iBasso DX160 which has a 3.5mm port along with a 4.4mm port. The sound from the DAP gets better with this cable no doubt. You can actually listen to the difference between the 3.5mm and the 4.4mm output with these cables. My December by Linkin Park brings out the subtle scratches on the turn table along with the piano arpeggio and Chester's voice. Smooth as it can get. However, I feel the cables don't have that clicky sound when I connect them to the Shure Aonic 215 which makes me feel like they might disconnect at any moment. Also I would love the cables more if they had some firm band over the ears like most IEMs do. Nevertheless, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Hey Tuhin, thanks for the recommendation! We are so happy to see that you are loving this cable!
