LOWER POWER CONSUMPTION WITH NANOVOLT LEVEL NOISE FLOOR
The iBasso DC04PRO consumes less power and provides a power-saving mode option. When using normal mode balanced output, the power consumption is 650mW; the single-ended output will turn off the unused half of the AMP, lowering the power consumption to only 550mW. When the power saving mode is on, it turns off and bypasses the AMP section, with output directly from the DAC's internal AMP. In this mode, the power consumption is as low as 410mW. Compared with the power consumption of similar dongles, which can be as high as 700 to 800mW, the power consumption and heat generation of DC04PRO are lower, enhancing long-term listening. The quality of the power supply directly affects the sound quality in no small way. The noticeable change is that the DC04 has attached cable while the DC04PRO has detachable cable. Both these units use the same DAC chip configuration but they differ in power output capabilities. The DC04 only offered Balanced 4.4mm output however the DC04PRO offers 3.5mm Single-Ended as well as 4.4mm Balanced headphone outputs. The DC04PRO also has more power as compared to the DC04. The noticeable change is that the DC04 has attached cable while the DC04PRO has detachable cable. Both these units use the same DAC chip configuration but they differ in power output capabilities. The DC04 only offered Balanced 4.4mm output however the DC04PRO offers 3.5mm Single-Ended as well as 4.4mm Balanced headphone outputs. The DC04PRO also has more power as compared to the DC04. Also, the DC04PRO comes with interchangeable cables. Aesthetically, the DC04PRO shines a lot having CNC machined frame and tempered glass with play mode indicator. I have purchased it for my Android and IS mobiles and it works awesome but at higher volume. There is no volume indicator on it which is a bit uncomfortable. It also Obsolete my mobile Volume controller. Amplification wise it works very good with my KZ-ZAS IEM's but the Performance with my Focal Celestee is not to the mark. As a surprise i also received Lightning to TYPE C Connector with it which was not part of the Box while ordering. Headphone Zone delivered it the next day so great service by them. Overall i am satisfied with what i got in this price range. It is not working t the mark for Overhead hard to drive Headphones with impedance more than 25 ohms

I'm using 1 Custom Junior IEM Balanced). No complaints regarding the sound, it's absolutely great. The lightning cable supplied was sub par. The cable length is way too short and the jack was heating up on the lightening port side. I belive that due to the short cable, the USB C port (Female end) got loose on the DAC. I've replaced it with a better Fiio lightening cable but it's still not secure and disconnects with movement (significant movement) so cannot carry it in my pocket anymore.
Great working DAC/AMP. Quality of life improvements can make this the best, like Missing iOS app or some indication of volume on the unit. Good quality cables included and had no problems setting it up on my FOLD 4 or iPhone.

great product i didnt expect it sound this great..definitely a great improvement over the phone...balanced sound ....i am using it with the phone..not with pc ...not too bright just the right sweet spot ....this is my first dongol dac/amp.i am using 3.5mm output now it is reasonably powerful..it drives all my iem final e5000 is bit hard to drive..but ok it doesnt get too loud haven't tried 4.4 balanced yet .....
