iBasso - DX220 Max

Experience Bit-Perfect audio playback with the iBasso DX220 MAX. It features two SABRE ES9028PRO DAC Chips for up to PCM 32bit/384kHz and DSD 512x playback. The 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen (1080*1920) and Corning glass on the front screen and rear panel adds panache to its powerful performance.

The DX220 MAX has two separate sections for the digital and analogue signal communications and hardware to prevent any interference. This is achieved using optocouplers and I2C isolators. The +/-8.4V battery pack consists of a 4pcs 900mAh Li-polymer battery for the analogue section and a 4400mAh 3.8V Li-Polymer battery for the digital section. The digital section also supports QC3.0, PD2.0 and MTK PE Plus quick charge.

Enjoy the highest purity and current output with the optimized class-A discrete amp circuit. With the true +/- 8.4V battery pack, no voltage boost is needed eliminating the switching distortion of transistors. Based on the powerful AMP8 module, you get the sound signature of a class-A amplifier with significantly lesser heat generation.

The DX220 MAX has a variety of outputs like the 4.4mm balanced line out (8.8V RMS), 4.4mm balanced phone out (8.8V RMS), 3.5mm single-ended phone out (4.4V RMS), mini optical output and mini coaxial output. You can stream audio wirelessly using Bluetooth v5.0 or super-fast 5G Wi-Fi as well as from the stored audio files in the 128GB internal memory or SDXC/ SDHC MicroSD card. This player can also double-up as an XMOS USB DAC & Receiver with the Thesycon USB audio driver.

Only high-quality components are used in the iBasso DX220 MAX. It has 5pcs of Femtosecond league oscillators (including 2 Accusilicon ultra-low phase noise ones). Kemet polymer tantalum, Toshin UTSJ, Panasonic, Nichicon Audio Electronic, Amtrans PET film capacitors complete the circuitry. An 8-core CPU and 4GB LPDDR3 offers a powerful performance. A 3-setting gain control and custom 4-wiper potentiometer (with less than +/-2dB channel tolerance) allow for an adjustable listening experience.
