A REMARKABLY ENGINEERED AMP WITH ADVANCED AUDIO ARCHITECTURE
The ZEN Air CAN circuitry has been designed for audiophiles with an asymmetrical channel layout that presents clean audio without any artefacts. It simply takes an input signal from a source and creates a larger copy of the original audio signal before it’s transmitted to your headphones. The ZEN Air CAN comes with three gain settings so that it works well with every pair of headphones or in-ear monitors (also known as IEMs). iFi Audio incorporates custom OVA-series op-amps that use a folded cascade design for ultra-low distortion alongside Texas Instruments low-noise ICs to offer unity-gain bandwidth and high output drive capability. Furthermore, TDK C0G (Class 1 ceramic) capacitors offer high stability and low losses for resonant circuit applications.

It is a purely analogue signal processing circuit designed for listening to headphones as if one is listening to speakers. It also recreates a holographic sound elevating your listening experience. This XSpace feature presents an ‘inside the head’ sensation, making your music more enjoyable.
PAINSTAKINGLY DESIGNED WITH UTMOST ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN EVERY ASPECT
The ZEN Air CAN has easy-to-use features along with a sleek design, making it aesthetically pleasing and practical to use. It has dual headphone outputs – 6.3mm and 4.4mm S-Balanced. At iFi Audio, they realised that not everyone has balanced headphones, they embedded the S-Balanced technology. This gives you all the benefits of a balanced connection – lower noise, less crosstalk – but without the need for balanced headphones. The ZEN Air CAN supports three analogue inputs, the same number as the ZEN CAN – but here, there are two stereo RCA inputs and one 3.5mm S-Balanced connection in total. An alloy shielding is provided within the thermoplastic polymer outer case to protect the signal path to avoid any disturbance. The changes between settings have been engineered to ensure sonic transparency. The FET-based switching micro-controller only wakes up when the user changes the settings minimising any distortions. The fact that iFi has succeeded in embedding such attention to detail in one headphone amp is impressive.
