Before purchasing these headphones, I was a guy who thought Expensive earphones/headphones (more than 1000 inr) are a scam and the listening experience is totally governed by the quality of the audio file and subtle tweaking in the EQ can help reaching the sweet spot. Well this headphones have definitely shattered my previous believes and has brought new perspective to the way I now listen to music.
lets discuss in detail about the product.
The unboxing experience is very satisfying and the product feels premium.
I never paid much attention to comfort before using this product, but after using them, I realized how much difference it can make to the overall experience.
ANC is pretty decent. It makes significant reduction, but only for ambient noises, such as fans, etc.
Now comes the sound quality, I thought getting the right sound was as easy as paring the device and start listening but there are 4 different kind of sound signatures depending upon how you connect them to your mobile or whatever.
1.) with cable (anc off)
2.) with cable (anc on)
1.) without cable (anc off)
2.) without cable (anc on)
with ANC off, The sound is very flat and detailed, the type of sound one would enjoy while listening to music with considerable timbre (for eg, jazz (no lo-fi), acoustic instruments, raw vocals etc ).
With ANC on, the sound becomes very powerful, The bass is also very Tight, The lows and highs are boosted significantly and the mids take the back seat. This gives a very bright and open sound, the kind of sound one prefers with EDM or any upbeat music that has bass oriented sound. If you listen to artists like chon, Mick gordan , zakir hussain or LO-fi is your jam then this configuration will suit you best.
with 3.5 cable attached, the sound becomes louder (especially with ANC on) and has a subtle difference depending upon the source (the same song will sound a little different if the source is computer or mobile). if you want to play video games without latency, then this is the way to go.
I prefer the audio quality when the music is played wireless.
Now If you have only used cheap products in the past, lets say sennheiser CX180 , or earphones one gets with iphone 11 or samsung s10, and Now if you listen to your fav song on these, ( make sure to turn ANC on or off depending upon the genre), The first 1 minute experience would be so emotional, It would literally make you cry ( not exaggerating). Your music won't sound the same. The efforts one artist puts in the mixing would be reflected while using them.
No matter how much you raise the volume, it never gets annoying.
if you listen to ambient music, the details are crystal clear and not sharp at the same time. The bass with ANC ON, is tight enough to shatter spine and soft/smooth like feathery pillow (basically not annoying), Not sure how to exactly define the experience but I hope you get an Idea.
So to sum up, Talking from an average consumer's point of view, I highly recommend this product. I have not used any other product in this price range, But after using them, I don't feel the need either.
I ended up choosing Jays q- seven after researching to purchase a noise cancelling headphones that fits within my budget. The ear and head padding offer comfort for listening long hours. The sound is balanced - clean treble and deep bass. However, the treble seems to increase and the bass reduces when noise-cancelling is switched on. Battery retention is excellent. The in-built microphone is poor though (low volume) as it becomes tedious to take phone calls when connected to the phone's bluetooth. I found the description provided by headphone zone quite useful to identify the best fit for my requirement. Compared to other products in the market that are in the similar price range, I would surely recommend Jays q-Seven if you are looking for a good sounding, comfortable noise cancelling headphones!
Overall: these headphones are awesome and I am enjoying it.
Have not been to lay my hands on it. My son has taken it. He loves it. Says it is fabulous.
In my earlier review I had given 4 stars because of the microphone quality to take calls. I'm taking that back to give 5 stars. After changing my phone from Moto to OnePlus I discovered drastic difference in audio call quality. It is quite comfortable to take calls through the headphones now. These are the best pair of headphones that I've ever owned! Thanks headphone zone.
pretty decent for the price however maybe because its new its hurting my ears if I use it for longer duration. Sound quality is good ANC is average
One word for headphone zone, ur services and headphone collections are wonderful
Comfortable, smooth pairing, easy to wear in long meetings with almost no discomfort and light weight. Mic is also pretty good as I have faced no issues after being on multiple calls across different platforms
