Everything that the CRA+ does, but a tad worse and at a lower pricepoint

At this point of availing this IEM, Headphonezone had not updated their catalog with it, but here I go. Package is very very similar to the CRA+, even the casing feels same and I am very comfortable with this for long hours of listening.
If one is familiar with the CRA+, a lot of people across the community hails this as the budget V shaped IEM king and arguably the best tuned KZ IEM till date, but when it comes to the EDX Ultra, it sounds like a souped down version of the CRA+ but without that shouty trebly note that KZ on a spectrum is usually known for (ahem, ZSN pro, ahem). Going to keep this short, the bass response seems a notch lower than the CRA+ but still lets you know its presence, the mids are a bit recessed, the instrument separation still being decent comes with a narrower soundstage, but it has a slightly better treble response than the CRA+.
If you are looking for a V-shaped IEM under 1500, I would bank on the EDX Ultra because it is worth its price, however for me, this is actually my first proper KZ purchase and I am not at all disappointed. Just like the + tag on the CRA, the EDX I think deserves the "ultra" moniker (at least what I have seen on the frequency graphs of the pro and the ultra).
Compared to the CRA+ though, it's a downgrade but then expected when you further stratify the price range.

Yes, it's a bit uncomfortable and comes off frequently, just switched them with my own pair of earphone tips, and now i don't even need to keep the wire around my ears. Overall, great experience.
