Got these in the mail today (thank you for the quick delivery Headphone Zone :) )

These headphones are all that I wished for and more! I was a user of the Marshall's I for the last 4 years. This upgrade to the Marshall IV's takes everything I loved about my previous pair of Marhsall's and makes it even better.

I am a beginner audiophile (I just enjoy good music). All my favourite songs just hit differently on these and I am blown away by how happy the sound makes me :)

Incredible sound quality!

I have been using my Audio Technica M40x for a few years now. I love it for it's neutral sound profile. However for outdoors or travel, the lows can seem underwhelming due to outside noise which makes you want more punch in the lows to compensate. Also I was getting tired of the cable and started looking out for a good wireless headphones.
After a little research research I zeroed in on the Marshall Major 4 for it's size, battery life and promised audio quality.

After receiving it I played many of my favorite tracks to compare it with my Audio Technica M40x whose sound I was very familiar with.

I must say it is exactly what it promised to be. A portable, stylish, long lasting headphones with good sound quality.

However compared to the M40x I felt the mids were recessed, the lows were too powerful and punchy, highs were just right.

My favorite tracks didn't sound right. So I had to decrease the lows and increase the mids in the equaliser to fix it.

After that it sounds amazing now. Great sound clarity, just the right amount of bass which can be increased to compensate for the outside noise, lively highs, no cable, amazing battery life, decent noise isolation.

I am loving it! I will recommend this to anyone who is on the lookout for a portable high quality pair of headphones without active noise cancellation.

Good... Could have been great

Take my review with a grain of salt, because I am very picky about headphones.
Things that could have been better:
* The clamping force is too much for my liking. (I've been using this for the last 3 days. The clamping force may reduce with time)
* To treble heavy. I tend to enjoy western classical music and metal. So, I would choose a treble heavy pair of cans any day, as compared to bass boosted headphones. But even for me, it's JUST TOO IN THE FACE and the Bass is quite anaemic, to be honest. Wish it had an app to EQ the cans across apps, but guess what: THERE IS NO APP SUPPORT for a 12K pair of cans!
* No carrying case/pouch. You'd take that as a given at this asking price...

Things that I liked:
* Battery life is INSANE. It's marketed to have 80 hrs of battery life. I used them for over 10 hours and it hasn't even dropped 5%. If you want a pair of "casual/easy sounding" on-ears that can last you weeks on a single charge, you cannot go wrong with these.
* Bluetooth Connectivity is excellent. 30 feet with 2 walls in between, no problem. I just leave my phone lying around and don't even have to bother taking it with me.
* Build quality of the headphones and the provided Marshall styled aux cable is pretty good. Plus they're collapsable.

I was thinking about getting the over-ear ANC offering from Marshall, but considering that I already own a pair of XM3's and wanted it just to be a companion for casual strolls in the morning (plus I wanted to try out the Marshall sound signature), I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Comfortable and Marshall Sound Signature

These are Light weight and Comfortable so they won't bother you much when you wear it all day, Marshall sound signature is good, Vocals are clear and strikes on the spot. Not sure about the deep base, but over all a good product.
