I have recently got into the audiophile world and thanks to the guidance from headphone zone and online reviews i landed on this DAC. This really changed my listening experience for the classical rock music of which i am a fan, the first song i listened on using this DAC and ThieAudio Hype4 was Alive - Pearl Jam and i fell in love with that song again. The technicalities i cannot explain as i am pretty new to this hobby but i can vouch that this will tourn outa good purchase for anyone into classical rock music.

Lets get the ordering experience out of the way first, I ordered this on 1st of April with an initial delivery timeline of 4-6 weeks. I got a call from HPZ a couple of weeks later that they will be placing the order in the next week and it should take further 2-3 weeks for delivery. I was fine with this. I then called them back asking for an update after 2 weeks and I was told they will update me on the order. The next day I got a call that this hasnt been ordered yet as they were waiting for a few more orders to come in so that the order can be combined. This is what got me annoyed - 2 months back I had requested them to add to the order for another product that I wanted but they declined this request and that my order will be fulfilled in the next cycle. Anyway after exactly 8 weeks I received this today. My suggestion to everyone looking to buy a product in pre-order stage then to wait till it comes in stock, no need to block your money for 2 months.
Now to the product itself, the Questyle M15 has been very hyped and many reviewers called it the best dongle DAC in the market today. Also there arent many reviews on the updated M15i DAC on the internet (the only difference that I could figure out between M15 and M15i is that M15i is MFi certified, making it fully compatible with the Apple ecosystem). The DAC is beautiful and the build quality is exceptional. It comes in a matte black aluminium housing with a glass window showing the internal circuitry. It has a low and high gain switch and both balanced and single ended outputs and you can check the status of the device through the glass window (Has 2 LED lights). I got a red leather case for it from another audio website and with it on it looks even classier and doesnt get too warm (very different to another dongle DAC that I own the iFi go bar Kensei which becomes too hot to touch).
As far as sound goes it sounds great so far I have tried it with all of my IEMs (64 Audio Volur; Sennheiser IE900; Meze Audio Advar, Dita Audio Project M, Dunu Falcon Ultra, and Oriveti OD200). Both Dita Audio Project M (my favorite IEMs at the moment - not sure why no one is talking about these) and 64 Audio Volur sounded very very good while using this DAC. I listen to all kinds of music EDM, Rock, Metal. I use Tidal as my primary music delivery platform and have been listening to my playlists for a couple of hours. I know the review period for these so far has been quite short but compared to other more expensive Dongle DACs I own this sounds and looks great. If you need a plug and play no fuss device for HiFi lossless on the go and in a tiny form factor then look no further. I also feel that its priced right. I would give this 5 stars.
