Sports enthusiast looking for a comfortable and trendy looking earphone with decent battery life and sweat resistance could not go wrong with Plantronics.
I have been waiting for a long time to get this re-stocked and ordered right away when it became available. To start with, these pairs sound truly great. They focus more on neutral sound or natural sound and does not have too much bass. Battery life is amazing and build quality is great. It does attract a fingerprints due to the matte finish but that's not an issue for me. However, there seems to be a small lag while playing video. It becomes noticeable only when you are looking for the lag.
Bought these set of earpods after lot of deliberations. The build quality is awesome, the music sounds great and the call quality is very clear, no disturbance. Am little disappointed that left pod did not connect automatically after right is paired, as user manual doesnt clear mention that left also needs to be paired. After pairing left worked properly but frequently it drops out and again it needs to be paired. This is the weird behavior for such expensive item.
The three biggest issues with true wireless earphones are:
Connectivity - the connection has been rock solid after the first couple of hours. The range is also quite good at around 10-12 feet before the audio starts cutting out.
Sound - well rounded and natural with a hint of good but not overpowering bass. Easily the best sounding wireless earbuds I’ve heard.
Battery - have not run out of juice once so far and I’ve been using them for around 3-3.5 hour sessions. So quite good on that front to.
The only minor negative seems to the tips, where wingtips would have probably helped with more secure fit, but issue still isn’t bad enough to be a negative.
1. Fantastic balanced sound.
2. Comply Foam Tips provide the best fit. The silicons are not fitting well for my ear canal.
3. Great build quality of the buds and the case.
Not so Good
1. Limited Bluetooth connectivity options
2. Can pair this with multiple devices but can’t connect to multiple devices at once
3. No app for Firmware updates, sound profiles, forums etc
4. Non customizable functions for buttons on the buds. They take some time getting used to.
Otherwise, a brilliant product.
Got it delivered 3 weeks back. Kudos to headphonezone for good packaging and timely logistics.
First off, the box is solid; feels like such an expensive thing is done justice while packing. Unboxing was a joy.
Coming to the case, it's a sleek metallic case that rotates-open with a slight push. It's the best looking case of all. Moreover, usb-c charging port is welcome!
Coming to earphones, they are plastic, but they feel well constructed and sturdy, premium and lightweight. I swapped the pre-installed eartips with the comply ones included in the box. Eartips in all sizes are included along with two comply memory foam eartips.
Plugging them in, I noticed that the sound isolation is great. You'll only hear low mumbles of people talking on the office floor. They are comfortable and sat snugly into my ears - light weight helps in this. Good for workouts.
The sound is very good too. They sound warm, with a bit suppressed mids and magnified highs and lows. To my disliking, they are a bit heavy on bass (not as high as Sonys are). I wish I could get a flatter soundstage.
Mic is a different story though. Whoever I talk to on call, I hear them complaining about too much background noise from my side - they do a bad job of cancelling noise for the mic.
They have buttons on both buds, which do simple things like tap to pause/play, right double/triple tap to change vol, left double/triple tap to change track, 2 sec press for google assistance etc.
Connectivity is mostly good. After first pairing, keep the bluetooth on your phone on and they'll connect as soon as you take them out of the case. They get automatically switched off when put in the case.
Battery is very good, I get about 4-5 hours on a single charge and the case can charge them full for 3-4 times. The case itself takes 40-50 mins to get a full charge.
So, at a price of 15k they are on the pricey side. Still, a good buy considering build quality, look and feel, sound quality and battery.
