Wireless Range

You must have most likely noticed that wireless signals do not travel an infinite distance. The farther a wireless signal goes, the weaker it gets. This loss is known as path loss, and it defines the range of connectivity. This range of connectivity is dependent on the wireless protocol in use like Bluetooth. Three classes offer standard ranges of connectivity with Class 1 devices transmitting at 100 mW with a range of 100 meters or 328 feet. Most Bluetooth headsets and headphones are Class 2 devices that transmit at 2.5 mW with a range of 10 meters or 33 feet. Lastly, Class 3 devices transmit at 1 mW with a range of fewer than 10 meters.

The same promise of the 215's spectacular sound, now with a truly wireless form factor that works effortlessly, that's the AONIC 215 Wireless Gen 2. The first-gen was nice, but the buggy connectivity and battery life were not optimised. This Gen 2 version improves on all of that to give you a seamless experience that works when you are on the go.

An Audiophile's choice for True Wireless IEMs.

I had the Shure Se215 SPE (Blue), and they didn't leave any corners to impress me, so it was obvious to bring in the wireless capability to them.

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Pros-

Flat sound signature (which may not be the choice of many) is provided by these IEMs. Details in the music are not only heard but felt. Instrument separation is good. The soundstage is awesome as compared to the IEM's in this price range(excluding wireless adapters price). Vocals sound extraordinarily clear. Highs, Mids and Lows are just perfect and would rarely require tweaking in the equalizer provided by SHURE Play app. Base is deep and punchy, at least with the SPE(Special Edition) ones, definitely not for bassheads.. but still punchy when you are considering an IEM.

Environment mode is an awesome feature ! Just double tapping either button will make your earphones disappear completely. Initially I was skeptical about it, thinking that the voice would sound robotic and like radio transmissions. But when I tried it myself, I was amazed to hear such transparency. Adding this feature to these types of Earphones which block almost all sound passively was a must. And yes you can hear your music while having the Environment mode on !

Considering Shure's recent entry in the true wireless realm, we can say that the connection handling is not at all bad for their first attempt of True Wireless Earphones. The connection is stable and more efficient after the update.

Looks are stunning, would definitely become a point of admiration.

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Cons-

Didn't find any but yes there were scenarios where the adapters behaved strangely.

For example, once I forgot to switch them off and kept them in my previous non chargeable Shure carry bag. When trying to reuse them, somehow the left bud would connect to the device but while connecting to the right bud, it would leave the connection from the device. Also there was a loud whistling sound from one of the earphones(which got me a little scared) but fortunately resetting them cleared the issue.

On removing the Aonics 215s from the adapters and replacing them with SE215s SPE (Blue), the adapters would switch off automatically on playing certain flac files from the Shure App. Files were

Bad Guy -Billie Eilish(24-Bit, 44.1kHz)

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Conclusion-

Providing the performance of an In-Ear Monitor in a True-Wireless form without losing on the details can be done only by SHURE.

Buy these only if you can afford and be satisfied with True Wireless Technology at its current phase (phase which is not at all bad). In terms of sound and impact, I still count on SHURE and their product Aonics 215 TW1.

So glad to know that you love them. We really appreciate your review, we hope it will help other potential customers to make an informed decision.

I lost my wired SE215 and got this TWS

Two weeks back, I lost my Share SE215-wired. I was not aware that there is a GEN 2 TWS coming to the market that time. I was using that SE 215 for 3-4 years now... That guy was everywhere with me, but I don't know how or why I was careless that it fell out of my pocket(it was inside the pouch) on my way, searched front and back but I didn't find him. My mind actually was really disturbed and I missed him so much.

Then I checked in HP Zone to buy the same SE 215 wired, but then in their home page I saw this new guy, SE215 TWS2, when I checked the reviews, everywhere it was written that the sound is similar to wired one- but forme the headphone was out of budget-So I posted a pre owned ad for my other wireless Klispch ear phone to buy this one. That guy didn't get sold yet-but you know what-I couldn't resist, so somehow managed some money and bought AONIC TW2...

FIT: 10/10
SOUND:10/10
APP: 10/10
LOUDNESS: 15/10 (I have listened to a few TWS's before)
PAIRING: 10/10
BASS-With Equalizer: 15/10
Bass-without equalizer: 10/10
NO LATENCY ISSUE

Thank you HP Zone for the fast shipping as usual.

I trust share only for their Tank like built quality-There may be some electrical glitches in future, never mind there is 2 year warranty!! 😍😍😍 Ing it for now...

Hey Kumaraguru,
We thank you for this lovely review & we are glad you are enjoying it! Keep the music playing.

Sound quality review only

I have used PowerBeats Pro for over 3 years now and was always proud about the heavy signature of those earphones. That said, I am really used to listening to that thump in the music alongside all things.

Coming to Aonic 215 TWS, I have realised that as compared to PBPs, these have really really clearer vocals and instruments. I guess it is the flat signature of these that they deliver music with no influence of Lows over Mids or Highs, unlike PBPs where the Lows definitely overpowered Mids and Highs. To explain in simple terms, Maynard James Keenan’s (from TOOL) lyrics in PBPs were almost unrecognisable, but Aonic 215 delivers absolutely crisp vocals and the guitar feels a lot crispier too (which maybe a downside for heavy metal guitar riffs where the lows create the essence). But, now that you appreciate his vocals, you might not feel the thump in Danny Carey’s (TOOL’s Drummer) drumming. If you are accustomed to listening to bass biased equalisation, it will take some time to adapt to Aonic 215 because the Flat signature gives equal importance to all Lows, Mids and Highs. In my honest opinion, although, I have felt that the Lows are, if not a lot, are suppressed enough to make you feel the difference in heavy guitar riffs and bass drops (it’s not all that Flat in signature). You’ll feel the difference if you listen to Black Sabbath, TOOL or Judas Priest, to name some. Listening to them in heavy signature earphones vs. Aonic 215 (flat) will be self explanatory to everybody reading this review.

In summary: if you’re interested in realising true vocal and instrument pleasure, Aonic 215s are a good choice. For absolute bass lovers, it WILL be a compromise with the Flat signature here.

I bought these in Black Friday Sale and for that worth, it is bang for buck. It’s definitely overpriced for somebody who are expecting a music quality other than the Flat signature offered here.

Battle between sound quality and comfort

There's no doubt about the sound that Shure delivers. But this particular set of earphones is not designed keeping comfort in mind. There's no way you can tell right from left without reading the obscure markings. The earphones are difficult to put on and start to hurt after some time. One charge lasts for about 4-5 hours.

Shure Aonic 215

The feel and fit feels premium and robust ! Shure's audio output is a no-brainer for people that are familiar with the sound and prefer rich and clear low, and mid frequencies. Bass is on the lighter side by default but a quick calibration on the EQ should fix it ! Considering these pair of in-ears' are the 1st generation of wireless range of products from Shure, definitely is a worthy purchase !

So glad to know that you love them:) We look forward to serving you again. Happy listening!
