|Our Verdict|| |
Skullcandy's Crushers are meant to do 1 thing really well-and that's give you head crushing bass. Don't expect audiophile quality of sound, but the haptic bass is fun for a while.
JBL has packed in a lot of features into this portable Noise Cancelling Headphone. Jack of all trades, master of some.
Our top pick for the best looking Noise Cancellation Headphone in this segment. And it helps that they sound balanced and versatile too.
Read ALOT before buying these. In fact bought the Hesh 2 before and returned them bcos I felt they just weren’t loud enough.
I’d like to debunk some of the popular misconceptions I read:
1. They’re just for bass heads and anyone else will be greeted with a sound quality that is terribly muddy and lacking in clarity.
The truth: I may not be knowledgeable enough to call myself an audiophile but the sound was perfect. Crystal clear even with the bass boost all the way up.
2. The bass boost is overpowering and kills the music when turned to the max.
Reality: if you are someone who gets goosebumps with heavy hard hitting bass, you will thank yourself for choosing these. The bass IS powerful to a point where people who dislike bass will be turned off but what impressed me was the clean performance of the bass.
I am now a forever lover of the Crusher wireless. They’ve literally nailed it for bass heads. My ONLY con here would be, “I wish they were louder and rocked my world harder” but that’s the greed in me taking over.
Bottom Line: every bass heads wet dream. Haha
This was my first over-ear/around-ear headphone. I wanted to buy a good quality headphone so that I can have it for a long time. After a 6 month long research I decided to go with Crusher Wireless. I dint realize how much of a wrong decision I was about to make.
I bought Skullcandy Crusher Wireless headphone (Order number #94267) at Headphone Zone. It’s not even 2 months yet and the headphone started showing cracks near the right earpiece hinge two days back and today it gave away.
I can assure you the headphone has not had any fall. I thought I bought a high-quality headphone from Skullcandy. It gives me great pain to see something that I have spent a huge money on doesn’t even last its warranty period.
I am buying a renowned Brand and all Brand Eyes (Skullcandy service provider) can come up with is "Not covered under warranty". Exclusion from warranty should be considered in such a way that there is no Force majeure. But if you inspect the headphone you wouldn't see any reason to think otherwise. There is not even a scratch on the headphone.
I have seen numerous testimonials from many sites where people have claimed that they have got their headphones replaced.
Scarce usage of cumulatively 2-3 days of the last 2 months can only mean that the product has inherent defect. Quoting the policy cannot be a solution and this must be considered on a case by case basis.
The headphone even though it functions, its rendered useless. For an esteemed brand such as this shouldn't the quality or the warranty policy be better.
Buy Skullcandy they said, Quality is good they said, Not in my case. I have wasted 10000 Rupees on an inferior product.
Just recived ..
N these are totally worth every penny ..
Amazing sound .
Bass is truly of level that u can feel .....
Just go buy it..
Trully fos basshead .
Premium class .
I was confused bt these n sony mdr 950 bt version .
But now im satisfied...
You wouldnt even want to try sony...
N a very lovely carrying pouch
I don't know why some people are posting negative reviews about the crushers wireless. They are actually awesome. Okay agreed that the bass feels little artificial when slider is at top, but actually it doesn't even need to be at top. The bass is perfect even when the slider is at bottom. Sound quality was perfect. They are kind of headphones where you can get lost in music (which I asked for to a headphone guru..haha) the sound is punchy and perfect. That's why..it's awesome! And yes..it's for only those who want to enjoy the music and relax. I just want to say, if you feel something negative about any product, please mention why did you feel so. Otherwise it just misguides a person. And yes. Thanks a lot #headphonezone and special onces for the founder to bring such a different startup.
The haptics are Kool but not bass enough for me, may be I am a bass beast !!!
Plus the passive vibrations(on account of your motion) are annoying when there is no input yet you hear the driver sound like cheap spring from a mattress. But i regret not buying these pair of cans, cause I am a frigging bass addict !!! Although a good pair of cans for someone who loves pure bass plus good going till now, like 10 days up now...
so I got these in 2017 and writing this review on 2019. let me tell you straight.they are broken how it happened and pros, cons of the headphones are as follows-
1. demonic bass.
2.very long battery life.
3.decent charging time.
4.bass slider and audio controls.
1. bass is like a subwoofer next to the ear, not the punchy one so you like the kind of bass that people play in cars then go for it .i
2.sound stage is not that wide. the sound stage is so so but you are not buying this for clarity right? these are for those bass-heavy Punjabi songs,EDM's ,dubstep's etc.
3.THEY BROKE IN 1 AND HALF YEAR.
so how they broke you ask???
well when i bought these things they were newly launched and cost me around 11700 so it is quite an amount to pay for headphones..headphone zone has the cheapest price and a very good delivery time so kudos to them for dat. now i am a heavy user that means i use these things 4-5 hours a day but i also took care of these (never threw them around carelessly, used the carrying case fro safty etc but after a year i started to notice that a crack started emerging on both cups the part where the headband widens. the reason for the crack is because i use them too much that is they gets stretched when you wear them so prolonged wear will eventually cause crack to appear. i tried to fix it by using feviquick but it was of no use and eventually after a year and hald both ear cups broke apart completley also thee folding hinge is very week it broke too after 22 months too.so yeah the build quality on these are very bad.i took care of them but they broke on me due to execssive usage. i am still using it at home by sticking it all together with feviquick which brokes often so 2 times fix in month is normal i finally moved on today and bought sony xb900n they are 15k but i trust sony quality sincem my xb950bt is still good.
so -- if you want a fun sound go for it but remember they will not last long in most of the cases
Let me first tell you where I come form, I have Mi A1 and if you would know Mi has given a dedicated AMP in it which can theoretically drive headphone of up to 600 ohm, I used to have Sony MDR-xb950AP (Yeah!! the wired ones). That headphone only has impedance of 32 ohm, meaning that I can get earth shattering bass and very high volume on my wired sony headset. I tried Sony MDR-xb950b1 but I was very disappointed with the bass it gave out. On the recommendation of headphone team, I tried Skull candy crusher wireless and I am astonished how much bass can these headphones give out, it's like a subwoofer is attached to both your ears. I use these headphones for listening to Liquid Dubstep, Melodic Dubstep, DarkPsy and Hi tech. I love these headphones, these are way better than Sony MDR-xb950b1
Headphones are good, comfortable for long duration, but hinges are made of plastic and they break within 6-10 months. Skullcandy refuses to repair or replace them quoting physical damage. Not worth the price. Please check google before buying
The headphone is good for bass head. But my headphones showed cracks on the stressed area especially near the hinge. The sad news is that my right earcup is broken. Claiming warranty is not gonna happen for physical damages as skullcandy has authorised brandeyes (3rd party) for warranty. I think the product is underdesigned since there are similar issue listed in the review.
My point is if you can extend your budget then dont buy this product go for the sony. If that is not the case take your chances on buying this product. I took my chance and i realised i have wasted my 10k.
