7 Day Replacement Guarantee

In case you receive the Truthear - GATE + Headphone Zone X ddHiFi - Hi-Res DAC with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession
- The product is not different from what was shipped to you
- The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user manual, warranty card and all the accessories therein)

Perfect for me!

I already owned a KZ Castor and wanted something on the opposite side of the spectrum. KZ Castor sounds great because of the dual dynamic drivers but is also on the heavier side for the same. I was looking for something that I can wear for my daily 1.5-hour bus commute. Something light and with less bass as it becomes tiring after 20-30 mins of constant listening.

Truthear GATe has proved perfect for me. It's lightweight, comfortable and the sound of the single dynamic driver is very close to my Castor minus the extra bass. To my surprise, alternative rock actually sounds better on my GATe. Is it better than the Castor? not really. Both of them are good in their own respects, which one to use depends on your preference. Personally, I am keeping GATe for my office use and Castor for my home.

The only con I could think of is the plasticky feel of the GATe. It looks cheap compared to the Castor. But that's not a dealbreaker, you won't care once you start listening to music. And the wire alone makes up for it. Quite premium I would say.

Coming to the DAC, the first noticeable difference was the increased volume on both my IEMs. But when I increased the volume and listened the same song without the DAC, the details missing were quite noticeable. So, the DAC does enhance the experience. At least for my phone (Samsung A22 5G). Although I use YouTube Music and not lossless Apple Music, I still think the DAC does make a difference.

This combo would be the perfect start for a beginner audiophile. Buying them separately makes no sense unless you plan to get a more premium DAC.
