Today's video is going to be an exciting one, one that I've been waiting to share
with you all for a while now. So in today's video we'll be talking about a brand
and an IEM that audiophiles have come to love all across the world and a brand
that has set benchmarks for great sound. we're talking about none other than
campfire audio and the IEM in Spotlight today is the new 2023 Edition
Andromeda Emerald Sea.

Campfire Audio & Andromeda

Now before we talk about the IEM in focus let's talk a little bit about Campfire
Audio. Campfire Audio over the past year has transitioned into a lot of different
things and this is clearly visible in the new branding and the delightful
packaging that the Andromedas come in. Now this is something that I really
appreciate and the unboxing experience for these babies is just phenomenal.
So without ranting too much let's talk about the IEM in focus, which is the 2023
Edition Campfire Audio Andromeda Emerald Sea. If there were ever to be a IEM
for Campfire Audio that held legendary status it would have to be the
Andromedas. The Andromedas have been around for years while having gone
through major updates and upgrades over the lifetime, they still retain that
same classic flash green colour and the same structure but this new 2023
edition brings about a lot of changes. This IEM has been completely reimagined
internally and externally. Now with this 2023 edition Campfire Audio has
completely reimagined what the Andromeda does and they've taken it to a new
level internally and externally but worry not they’re still the same shade of
green. Now what improvements can you expect from this 2023 Andromeda
Emerald Sea and do these improvements warrant and upgrade and the most
important thing how do these sound we'll talk about all of this in this video so
let's get started.

Unboxing Experience + In The Box

So let's quickly talk about the unboxing experience. Now die-hard fans of
Campfire Audio are gonna be thrilled and somewhat tickled when you open the
package. The moment you lift the wooden lid off the Andromedas, you will be
greeted with a sense of joy and delight. The unboxing experience curated by
the team at Campfire Audio is just top notch, something that I've not seen or
experienced with any IEM unboxing ever. Now there are few things that are a
little different from the original and the 2022 edition of the Andromedas, these
come with three cables right out of the box. A 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm and a 4.4 mm
balanced cable and these are all proprietary cables that allow you to experience
your Andromedas to their best and highest level.

Build & Design Language

So once you've unboxed your new Andromeda Emerald Sea, you will instantly
notice and realise how beautiful these IEMs are. Now campfire audio with these
new shell design that that's where they want to make a statement. Now gone is
the severe angular design of the old Andromeda. For the Emerald Sea
Andromeda the team of designers have gone for a much more smaller housing
that's smoother and much more streamlined. Now what this new design does is
it allows the earpiece to sit in the ears perfectly without any feeling of pressure
even for a long listening session. This is truly appreciated and another thing
that you'll notice is Campfire Audio has transitioned from the old industrial
design which was predominant for the first Andromeda and the 2022 Edition to
a much more sleeker design for the Emerald Sea Edition. This is truly
appreciated and I'm sure a lot of enthusiasts are gonna love this new design.

Technical Upgrades

Now let's talk a little bit about the internals on the Andromeda Emerald Sea.
Now the engineers at Campfire Audio have really gone to work and redesigned
the internal housing completely and this housing has been fitted with five new
custom balanced armature drivers. The driver configuration still remains the
same with five balance armature drivers but what's different is the dual
diaphragm drivers. Now these drivers have been particularly selected for their
low distortion and great clarity. Now one more thing that I'd like to mention is
that the andromedas are super easy to drive and compared to the previous
generation of Andromedas the Emerald Sea Edition is way less sensitive than
that. What this means is you'll be able to pair this IEM with virtually any source
and a lot more people will be able to enjoy this IEM without worrying about the
pairing.

Sound

Now with all of the technical upgrades how do the Andromeda sound? The
tuning is definitely the same as the original Andromeda, the sound signature is
undeniably Andromeda. What essentially the team at Campfire Audio have done
is they've taken a near perfect IEM and they've just refined the tuning a little
bit. The bass has been elevated to a level where it sounds thumpy and fun, the
mids have been cleaned up, there is no sense of scoop and the top end which
was a complaint from a lot of Andromeda users has been tamed. Overall this
refinement in the sound just makes the Andromeda Emerald Sea super
engaging and highly fun to listen to. With this refinement there is a new level of
fluidity and the music listening experience is just elevated to a different level.

Conclusion

So if you were to ask my opinion or my verdict on the Andromeda Emerald sea I
just have one word to say - These IEMs are brilliant. Everything from the tuning
- from the lows, the mids and to the top end, everything is presented properly.
If you talk about the fit, it fits perfectly and I think the redesigned shells are
really really well thought out and they'll fit in every single person's ears without
any issues. The accessories included in the box are well thought out, you get all
the cables, all the accessories you need to get the best out of these IEMs and
trust me when I say this you have to hear these IEMs to believe when I say
they're perfect in every sense.
