In case you receive the HiFiMAN - SUNDARA Closed-Back with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

A replacement will be issued only if:

- It is found to be defective
- It is determined that the product was not damaged while in your possession
- The product is not different from what was shipped to you

One of two driver technologies—the more conventional "dynamic" driver and the more advanced "planar magnetic" driver—is generally used in modern headphones. SUNDARA closed-back has planar magnetic drivers that produce quick transient responses across the frequency spectrum. The advanced magnet design featured in the SUNDARA closed-back is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that typically degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The result is reduced distortion, yielding a purer, more harmonious sound. In contrast to the sound waves produced by regular magnets, the shape of Stealth Magnets allows sound waves to pass through them without generating interference. HiFiMAN spent a lot of effort developing a diaphragm with a nano-scale thickness that enables a lightning-fast response that yields astounding levels of detail and also; extremely low distortion. Beyond expectations, SUNDARA Closed-back provides performance levels and melodic purity.

ACOUSTIC STRUCTURE SPECIALIZED TO OFFER PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCE WITH EXPANSIVE SOUNDSTAGE AND PRECISE IMAGING

The SUNDARA closed-back offers outstanding bass extension, which adds depth and rumble to the sub-bass. HiFiMAN SUNDARA closed-back has bass quality rather than quantity. The midrange tuning on the SUNDARA closed-back is excellent. It’s linear throughout, with clean fundamental tones and a good presence in the upper midrange. It has fantastic tonality, depth, and layering. Male and female vocals sound precise with body and weight to their presentation. The treble range is pretty good on the SUNDARA closed-back. It’s not warm, but it’s not bright either, and overall it’s set at a level that will be comfortable for most listeners. The SUNDARA closed-back does extend nicely into the upper treble with good holographic and airy representation, properly representing all the harmonics and overtones in that region. SUNDARA closed-back has one of the more spacious and open-sounding presentations. For soundstage width, it’s roughly on par with most open-back headphones and can convey a better sense of distance and precise instrument separation. Additionally, SUNDARA closed-back delivers exceptional layering capabilities, with all instrument and vocal lines distinguished, allowing you to experience pure sonic bliss!

NOTE: The headphones benefit from break-in to achieve optimum performance. Usually, this takes up to 150 hours. Until then, there is nothing special you need to do other than enjoy your headphones.

Compared to the HD6XX, Sundara Closed Back veers more towards the V-shape sound profile rather than being balanced. That being said, classical music is still great to listen to in the Sundara Closed Back, especially guitars (Still prefer the HD6XX for piano and vocals though). But, where Sundara Closed Back really shines is electronic, EDM, synthesised music. The Battlefield 4 "Stutter Theme" (https://open.spotify.com/track/4bXehAjSzx0i5KqYKYgdha?si=d5f4928030054e25) just comes out epic from Sundara Closed Back!

Loving it!

Chose the HiFiMAN Sundara Closed back as a birthday present for my husband after much deliberation about the specs of various audiophile headphones in this price range and his use-case. It's the first audiophile headphones we are using and we are not disappointed. Definitely worth the investment. Feel like we are finally listening to music the way its meant to be heard.

Not experienced enough to provide a review of the sound quality and other specs in comparison to other audiophiles. But suffice to say, it does sound beautiful.
