DUAL ESS SABRE DAC CHIPS WITH 16X MQA SUPPORT DELIVER EXCEPTIONAL SONIC PERFORMANCE

The most important aspect of a DAP is the DAC chips that they host. With this design consideration in mind, a team of engineers at HiBy have structured the architecture of HiBy R5 Gen 2 to accommodate high-performance ESS Sabre DAC chips. HiBy remained steadfast in its decision to use a CS43198 DAC design for the original R5 Gen 1. The R5 Gen 2 has dual DAC chips with a design overhaul R5 Gen 2 hosts a more recent ES9219C version. The HiBy R5 Gen 2 hosts dual ES9219C DACs that natively support DSD256 (Direct Stream Digital), PCM768kHz/32Bit Hi-Res formats with SNR of 130dB and THD+N down below -112dB. The HiBy R5 Gen 2 produces precise output voltage so that the Class-A amp section receives the best signal possible for amplification. It also supports an integrated DAC-Amp (economy mode) output with low power consumption and extended playback times. An audio amplifier maintains the detail of the smaller signal while boosting the loudness to a practical level known as linearity. The output signal is a more accurate reflection of the input signal the higher the linearity of the amplifier. The R5 Gen 2 is the only Android DAP boasting Class A headphone amplifier circuits, making for outstanding audio performance. Class A is the most linear type of audio Amp. With these technological concepts in mind, a team of engineers at HiBy wanted to design the circuitry of R5 Gen 2 to be able to power the most power-hungry headphones and low-sensitivity IEMs. HiBy decided to incorporate the Class A amplification stage for their R5 Gen 2 because of this design concept. Employing flagship grade class-A amplification, the R5 Gen 2 utilises Class A discrete balanced amplification circuitry, capable of continuous high power output, with plentiful energy reserves for all music genres. The tone is clean and precise for the most dynamic compositions. The R5 Gen 2 offers exceptional current output power and control over varying loads thanks to its four channels of push-pull amplification with 270° conduction angles and discrete componentry, which includes eight highly powered paired bipolar transistors. DUAL INDEPENDENT CRYSTAL OSCILLATORS FUSED WITH FPGA CLOCK ALGORITHM WITH BLUETOOTH 4 AND WIFI SUPPORT

With the introduction of wireless technology, the world has gone surreal for streaming music without having to deal with the annoyance of wires. The engineers at HiBy created the R5 Gen 2 with Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities so that you can stream music wirelessly. Due to an improved Bluetooth version, the R5 Gen 2 provides outstanding coverage. Faster data transfer is made possible by the architecture of the 2.4G and 5G WiFi networks. The Bluetooth 4.2 functionality and enhanced circuitry of the R5 Gen 2 enable greater signal strength and longer transmission lengths. The engineers at HiBy utilised dual independent audiophile-grade crystal oscillators at 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz to deliver high-precision audio reproduction. With the cost-no-object audio componentry naturally lays the path to quality sound. The HiBy R5 Gen 2 employs 163 high-precision resistors, 19 Panasonic tantalum POSCAPs, and 4 ELNA electrolytic capacitors to suppress power supply ripple, yielding silky black backgrounds. The engineers at HiBy used and developed their FPGA Clock Algorithm technology in-house for the R5 Gen 2. As the audio system controller, the FPGA-Clock demands audio data directly from the SoC (System On Chip)and plays a critical role in signal reproduction and integrity. It uses dual crystal oscillators to synchronise and generate all audio clocks, resulting in a fully synchronised single clock source. The FPGA and oscillators help minimise jitter to a low degree, resulting in a digital audio source that is exceptionally clean and clear. The FPGA-Clock technology elevates audio scheduling to the system's highest priority processing sequence, resulting in an R5 Gen 2 digital audio system that is stable and interference-free. UAT is the internal version of HiBy (Ultra Audio Transmission). UAT supports the highest industry-standard 192kHz transmission sample rate and up to 1.2Mbps Bluetooth bandwidth for the highest audio fidelity from wireless. The HiBy R5 Gen 2 supports two-way Bluetooth rendering with support for Bluetooth audio codecs like UAT, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC. This design concept is what the engineers at HiBy paid attention to in engineering R5 Gen 2 to accommodate a 4500mAh battery yielding over 35 hours of playtime (in economy mode). The HiBy R5 Gen 2 delivers 10 hours of playtime when operated in Class-A amplification mode. However, the play time varies with different resolutions, volumes and headphone/IEM loads. The HiBy supports QC3.0 quick charge protocol and fully charges within 2 hours. What about getting a DAP with a touchscreen and high-resolution display? You have nowhere to look for as the HiBy R5 Gen 2 features a 4.7-inch full-screen colourful display; with a thin bezel and capacitive touch panel. The screen resolution is 720*1280 pixels, with superior colour reproduction in digital audio players. The HiBy R5 Gen 2 features various inputs and outputs for unmatched connections. It also hosts a USB-C 2.0 high-speed transmission. Output ports consist of 4.4mm/2.5mm Balanced and 3.5mm Single Ended, switchable to line out. Whether the outputs function as a headphone or line out is selected through the system menu. All digital connections are via the centrally located USB-C port that includes USB-DAC, OTG, and charging. The R5 Gen 2 runs on the Android 8.1 operating system. It has an open Android OS capability as well. Due to the Snapdragon 425's quick system reaction and smoothness, the R5 Gen 2 is at the forefront of HiFi players. You may install almost any software and watch online streaming. When operating the built-in player or a third-party streaming APK, the HiBy R5 Gen 2 skips the SRC (Sample Rate Conversion) at the system level. This design lets you enjoy system-level "Non-SRC" capabilities and listen to lossless music. At the same time, the R5 Gen 2 incorporates the HiBy OS, an in-house developed system architecture by HiBy targeting professional HiFi audio equipment. The HiBy R5 Gen 2 has an exceptional build quality with an all aluminium body that generates confidence and looks premium.
