Questyle - M12i

The Questyle M12i aims to break technological barriers with its advanced features, developed through a successful collaboration between Questyle and ESS. This portable decoding headphone DAC & Amp exceeds expectations. It utilizes the latest ESS flagship USB DAC chip, the ES9281AC, enabling high-resolution audio decoding up to PCM768 and DSD512, outperforming its predecessor, the M12, which supports up to PCM384 and DSD256. This improvement ensures superior audio quality with upgraded distortion performance and increased output power. The M12i aims to deliver an unmatched listening experience, with support for the highest decoding capabilities, driven by innovation and collaboration in audio technology.

The Questyle M12i features independent SiP Current Mode Patent Amplification Modules, it's their in-house developed technology which stands out for its low power consumption and robust driving force, ensuring prolonged operation even at high volume levels. Unlike other devices that rely on op-amp chips, the Questyle M12i delivers ultra-low distortion of just 0.0003% and exceptional current output capacity, surpassing the limitations of conventional op-amp chips. The M12i offers high performance while minimizing power usage, with its independent SiP Current Mode Amplification Module and efficient power management system from TOREX. This design reduces the risk of overheating or interruptions during extended use, making it a reliable choice for audiophiles.

The M12i ensures optimal performance with your headphones effortlessly, with its 3.5mm headphone jack equipped with a built-in unique impedance detection circuit, along with adjusting gain levels. When headphones with an impedance less than 70 ohms are connected, the M12i switches to low-gain output mode, providing an appropriate power level. It automatically switches to high-gain output mode to deliver more power for headphones with an impedance higher than 70 ohms. Furthermore, when connected to headphones with an impedance of 600 ohms or higher, it switches to 2Vrms line output mode for better performance. A single indicator signifies low gain for low-impedance headphones, preventing overdriving, while dual red indicators indicate high gain for high-impedance headphones. Additionally, when used as a mobile DAC with Hi-Fi systems or active speakers, it automatically switches to high-level output, providing strong support for Hi-Fi audio systems.

The "i" in M12i signifies Apple MFi certification, ensuring flawless compatibility with iPhone, iPad, and the broader Apple ecosystem. This guarantees adherence to Apple’s strict standards for power efficiency and USB safety. The M12i also features a dynamic sampling rate display—a single red light indicates PCM up to 48kHz, while dual red lights show high-res PCM or DSD playback. Its chassis is made of CNC-anodized black aluminum alloy with a Kunlun glass window, highlighting Questyle’s focus on signal integrity and visual design.

NOTE: When connecting to Lightning interface devices, you can purchase an additional Questyle LTC02 Lightning to Type-C adapter that has been officially certified by Apple MFi.
