I've been using it for almost 2 years now, still enjoy it. Thinking of getting another pair but I see they've increased it's price.

My experience with the SSR after my 1st and for most favorite Sennheiser cx180 street 2 was like wait what the f**k where's the low end. I mean I was prepared for the absence in the bass right from the beginning by looking at the frequency graph but still had a thought back in my mind that no bro if everyone is making a fuss about it then there might be great why not give it a shot and then as I played Ajay atul playlist on it I was like no bro not 🙂😑 they were lacking a lot of things and I mean a lot. See here's the thing these little bad boy's have [****] sound quality but for the frequency from upper midrange 1khz upto the 20khz but for the rest of it just sounds as if you've forgot to turn on the subwoofer, it's like listening to hifi music from professional bookshelf speakers but without the subwoofer added to it. It's having this beautiful midrange and all highs great but due to the lack of low frequency it fails to provide you the soundstage, the imaging which now a day's is the most highlighting point and preference for audio mixing and stuff. The lower mids the upper bass the lower bass are the frequency which defines the depth width and length to music. It failed to provide imaging whether where the instrument is actually being played, the precise positioning of the instrument locationg at the mid right for about 3 feet away and at the same time other instrument is been played right behind you to the left for about 1 feet away. It was not giving the depth and the detail to the positioning of instrument location.
But the reason these are considered to be a beginner audiophile IEMs is that beside of the bass stuff they are having a top notch upper mids and treble which are accurate shiny sparkling and all of this without giving your ears the harsh pain to remove them and throw them away because the are excellent in doing the high frequency's. It's like their everyday thing with no distortion at all. They might not have great sound stage and imaging but what they are great at is to mimic the instruments as if you are listening to them in actual and not from the IEM.
They might sound great for few people as everyone one has their own taste in music preference but as for me they were not my type. Might be because I did not used them on an amp or dac as I don't have one and I didn't felt a need to power the SSR from any amp as my poco X3 pro smartphone is hi-res certified so it was all on it. Any ways I wouldn't say go and buy these they are great.. NO they are good but if you have an option first try it on your self to decide to buy or not.

I'm the kind of person who loves listening to music when lying in the bed, with my ears facing the pillow, and these are really comfortable. Before this I've mostly used wired earphones from generally known brands, but the problem with them is the cables would stop working, forcing me to buy a new pair of earphones. The concept of detachable cables in earphones was entirely unknown to me. I'm not much of an audiophile (call me a noob), but one of my friends recommended me these and I'm loving them. They fit really nice in ear, and the sound is pretty good actually (I can hear tones which I couldn't before).

Note: I actually ordered Sliver ones but Headphone Zone sent me White ones. I have no issue with the color and don't want to return them, but not sure if this would cause an issue in case of warranty claim.

Just like their physical appearance (without much fancy design and colour blends) they present the music just as it is, flat, without any colouration. And that's what I like the most. Yes, the bass is a bit lacking and sub-bass is negligible but they do respond in the bass segment when called for. I also own MEE Audio - M6 Pro (2nd Gen) and the sound is signature is somewhat similar to those. The M6 Pro is louder and sounds fuller in most cases, they are another fantastic pair of IEMs. But the mids and highs are segments where SSRs really shine. I've been using M6 Pro for a long time but after using SSR some instruments in the mids and upper mids surprisingly came to my notice for the first time ever. The soundstage is also good. And yes, they have a robust build quality, the cable is also pretty good for the price. So, if you want a flat sound signature with really good detailing in the mids and highs and you don't have lots of money to invest, just go for it and you won't regret buying these for sure. Oh, I just forgot to mention, the delivery by Headphone Zone was lightning fast as always, those guys are just great. :)

These earphones are not your regular fun IEMs. They do what they are meant to do and that is to produce flat studio-quality sound, yes they lack a bit of bass but sub-bass is good, the vocals are the category where these earphones really shine. I have heard in other reviews that the treble is very sharp but I did not find anything special in the highs, it's clear and sparkly. Use a portable dac amp to boost the performance even more I personally use Shangling UA1 and boy does it sound lovely . To sum it up :
BASS - 8/10
MIDS - 9/10
HIGHS 9/10
Overall a very recommended purchase and kudos to headphonezone for fast delivery.

Moondrop SSR, it will amaze you based on your music taste and sense

Strictly not for EDM kind songs

If your playlist contain lots of classical stuffs, soft melodies of 80s 90s , and if you are the person who prefer to listen music at volume level 50 to 60% , Go 4 This

I landed to this cuz of extreme reviews, both positive and negative, so obviously too much curiosity aroused

First I tested with my iPad ., (Before burning) it sounds really good at volume 75% - song " unna nenachu" from Psycho , the guitar strings hit directly my head :) it's just great.

Then i tried "Thooriga" - Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru (for the past 1 month all 4 tracks in loop, lovely album) with

my OP7 , Ak xb 10 dac , Neutron Music player

I Just hiked bass little and volume at 85.... suddenly a rattling sound started at right side..MILD DISTORTION🤦‍♂️😔
Then I googled to know if any one faced this same , an Amazon reviewer said the same and he also mentioned even after replacement he is experiencing the same, so i thought it's a tuning issue
I changed the wires to 2.5mm same issue in that also
Checked with power amp ,no improvement

But USB audio player handled this well seems like the Auto gain option is very accurate , so even if tried to increase the bass , no rattling happened

I suggest it's better to leave all the Equalizer to be FLAT
Now I burned this approx 30 plus Hours , sounds slightly better ,hope it will get much better after 20 more hrs

Note 2 : After complaining about NO EARTIPS AND POUCH IN PACKAGE, HPZ CR called and apologize ,they request me to return but I don't want to return cuz I have to wait for 1 more week already waited for 1 month it's almost 1 month out of stock

First and foremost ,kudos to Team Headphonezone for providing such an amazing shopping experience, punctual delivery and a pleasing unboxing experience.
I've bought two entirely different sounding IEMs, the wonderful KZ ZSN Pro X earlier, and now the enthralling Moondrop SSR .
Moondrop SSR amazes you with its comfort, clarity, buttery smoothness, good separation and unique tuning. It's bright, mid-centric and has elevated highs. For bass, what is lacking in quantity is well compensated with quality, rich texture and swift impact. Vocals and strings are a bliss to hear in SSR.
I'm certainly impressed with these tiny IEMs and I appreciate its unique tuning.
This is undoubtedly not for bassheads but you will be surprised to enjoy details with the Moondop SSR in a way you've never experienced before with the typical V- shaped sounding gear.

The Moondrop SSR are exceptional IEM for the price. They are well-designed, well-built, really small and comfortable, and come with a decent cable (but not much else in the box).

What sets these apart for me from others in this price range is the tuning. Moondrop has very deliberately chosen a mid/high forward sound rather than the usual bass-forward or v-shaped sound common in this price range. As a result, the SSR are wonderfully open and clean sounding IEM with transparent mids and highs, and a surprisingly three-dimensional and spacious sound. The bass isn't exactly lacking, either, providing a good sense of warmth and impact wherever necessary and I feel like it has gotten warmer over the several weeks I've had them.

I've seen these being described as "shouty" in some reviews and depending upon your preferences you may see them that way but I personally really enjoy the fact that for once the mids and the highs have been made the star of the show, and not once did I feel overwhelmed or fatigued by the high-end response or thought that the low-end was seriously lacking. For people who just can't get over their infatuation with bass, the SSP might be a better option, along with countless others in this price range. But for a more balanced, detailed listening experience I'd highly recommend the SSR.

Hi, If u didn't heared about the name Moondrop i would like to say at they are pretty nice brand giving exceptional quality of Hifi products at first and for past 7 years they are making greatest IEM in the markets and in I've already have used
their moondrop spaceship and am so much impressed with that...I was bit worried coz many of the reviewers said there is sharp trebles and shouty sound which is highly disturbing to ears and to be honest initially i feel the same when i had first impression with my ssr's but thanks to Headphone zone guys they sent me a mail mentioning a pro tip about "burning" seriously i have not done anything like burning process to my earphone and i thought it is tough to do my spending so much time on it but its quite easy just plug your earphone to ur phone play some songs at min volume of 70% and leave it for overnight while you sleep when u wake up in the morning you will feel drastic improvement of audio quality from your earphones( this method suits and work for every earphones).Coming to my review,once if you get this SSR u feel this the best quality earphone in the market, top notch build quality i think it's made of wolverine's Adamantium😂 lol jokes apart they feel solid in hands by adding little bit weight but doesn't make ear fatigue when coming to sound quality the bass was good , tight and natural even if u are bass heads please try this kind of balanced IEM earphone where you will feel the realistic music playback. over Bass feels good but it dramatically affects the clarity of the musics that you are listening. Highs feel little muddy on Moondrop SSR when compared to Moondrop starfield which is cheaper than this model but the highs are good not poor and i day to day usage you won't notice that. Mid and lows this is where the SSR shines , it is the best clarity earphones i've used in my entire life every details are clearly audible studio level performance indeed, I've owned audio technica bose NC 700 but they are 5 to 10 times costlier than SSR but it matches their quality which is unbelievable 🔥 at this price range with this solid build quality u can't get a better IEM earphone under 4k Rupees if you are planning to buy IEM for consuming music and movies give a try for it without any hesitation and you will have crystal clear experience....Simply a Great piece of engineering ❤️

I bought this after viewing The Honest Audiophile and zpolt reviews.
I was getting tired of the typical V shaped sound signature of budget IEMs, they have their place, they are fun to listen to. But it is in the mids that all the action happens, it is the home of vocals, guitars, synths, snare and most orchestral instruments. People are missing a lot when the go for a V signature, sure they are fun, they have universal appeal, they are a blind safe buy for most but a significant aspect of music is purposefully recessed in a V.
Having said that, this may seem a bit bright and "shouty" for some, it may sound a bit sterile.
But if you are willing to take the risk, you may in for a pleasant surprise and realise how much you have missed in your favourite music.

I love the feel of these. The metal is cold and sound is nice. But they get tinny and my ears hurt even after listening for 15-30 mins. I tend to cycle them out with my normal TWS and Headphones.

This is my first IEM. Like many have already mentioned, this has a very flat sound signature and not suitable for bass-heads. The sound quality is top notch and very rich at this price point. Go for it!

Technicalities is too high.
Flat sound signature and producing extreme accurate music. The Size is tiny and fits perfectly for me
used with avani dac and get extremely good output with my note 10.

One thing bad is experienced ear fatigue after one hour of use. May be it's only for me.

BUT THE DEAL TOTALLY WORTH

First of all, these do not sound thin as in zpolt reviews. When a recording has bass, these reproduce it without emphasizing it. The resolution is quite decent for the price, the fit is great for side sleeping, cables are decent, the stock tips are bad none of them fit me.

They sound quite neutral and slightly sibilant. I am not a treble head but I do not mind the harshness, in fact I like the treble on these. I also have the Final E3000/E5000 and these are a break from the dark sounding iems. These are great to listen to podcasts and videos because of the natural mids and boosted treble. You can hear all details even on low volume with is quite nice.

They perform very well with fast music like heavy metal because there is almost no emphasis on bass, so they decay is rapid so the music never sounds congested. As for other genre EDM, pop they suffer due to the lack of boost in bass but a little EQ can make these sound like SSP.

A definitely recommended iem for someone who wants a detour from the traditional L, V or U shaped sound signatures.
