I am not an audiophile, but I can say for sure this little thing is special ! I got this to get a better, cleaner audio source than my integrated motherboard soundcard, and this thing delivers!

This will make a significant improvement in audio quality over built-in PC audio.
Tested with Sennheiser HD 599 & OneOdio Pro10.
Watching movies in a silent environment is a bliss with HD 599. Rich audio experience.
Bass Boost is a bonus.. Which we don't get in other dac|amps.

Have been using this amp with my KZ - ZSTX and DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms . Wide soundstage, crisp highs , punchy lows. Loved the Amp. Thank you headphone zone for the prompt delivery.

First of all great service by HPZ this is not my first order
I bought DT 770 pro 80ohms from hpz and confused whether to buy an AMP or DAC only or both amp/dac
So i started my research and spent around 2-3 days
looking at budget and quality My research boiled down to 3 options
1 . iFi Audio - ZEN DAC V2 - It over my budget and for better i had to have a balanced headphone
2. Fiio k3 New 2021 - It in my Budget but Same Balanced out is 2.5 mm and DT 770
is not a balanced headphone, and its (K3) unbalanced out slightly less powerful than E10k (if I had balanced headphones I had gone for this one )
3. Fiio E10K TC - Under budget, nice build quality (no wire connection issue like in previous microusb version), Dac is better that my PC MOBO (Asus x570 Prime pro - AC1220 8-CH sound card)
its easy to use , Using it on low gain + bass boost and volume turned up to ~ 7-8

For the price build quality is great. But there is no feel to the sound. It sounds sterile. Switching to bass did improves a bit but it's too clean for my ears to hate. Benchmark with HD599 and kz zsn pro x. Even with some tuning there wasn't much difference with this DAC. Volume levels are great. Low/high gain switch useful for different headphones with different impedances. Small, compact, portable with USB C input interface which is great. Until and unless you are having very bad integrated DAC, you will feel noticeable audio quality with this product.

No headphone is bad. You just need something like this product, a DAC AMP. Pure clear sound. If Bass boost is turned on, you can feel woofer bouncing on ear. Just buy some decent headphone and enjoy the sound.

I don't know why this product is listed under portable amps and dacs. It's a desktop DAC/AMP combo. Have bought it twice (stopped working after multiple drops after 2 years) and it was enough to power 80 Ohm Beyerdynamic DT 770. Sound quality was a great improvement over my onboard sound output. I won't recommend it if your headphone's impedance is more than 80 Ohm.

If your budget is less than 8k, get this one; you won't regret buying it.

Decent DAC (24bit/96kHz), pretty powerful AMP(200 MW), solid aluminium housing, Bass boost works great and gives tight, thumpy bass but all of this depends on the max input power and sensitivity of the equipment connected to the AMP.
Coaxial out works fantabulous with great power and gives clean, distortion free sound when connected to Home Theater and Powered speakers.
Compared to other headphone DACs this one has a bit of warmth to it.
Overall an exceptional device with great capabilities.

You can't really go wrong with this DAC at this price point and size. It's perfect if you're a college student like me who can't keep a proper audiophile setup but you still want a proper listening experience. Pairs well with portable equipment like your laptop or your phone since you'll be travelling constantly.

Paired it with my dt770 80ohms and it feels like i have unlocked a new level xD, its really good !

Amazing dac/amp for such a compact form factor and cheap too. Very handy, I got the older version with micro USB but still works fine! I use it for my ath-m50x as well as IEMs.

Been extensively using laptop onboard jack so this is a great improvement in audio quality.
The difference is more pronounced on higher volumes.
Overall satisfied! It's smaller in size than i anticipated.

This DAC sounds and performs good. Especially at this price point. The only issue is that most phones won’t be able to power it. You will need to supply extra power (eg. using the camera connection kit for iOS devices).

But there are no issues on desktop. It was pretty much plug and play. This would be a good pickup for people with harder to drive headphones using a desktop setup.

The I/O was a bit sparse. I would have liked to see a line in or a balanced headphone out.
