The FiiO KA17 showcases the new ESS ES9069Q flagship dual DAC chipset. This DAC chip unit is powered by the fourth-generation HyperStream modular technology that processes 32-bit audio data. FiiO featured the XMOS XU316 chipset in the KA17, which unlocked the possibility of developing precise PEQ adjustment settings with ten customisable frequency bands in your KA17. This self-developed PEQ algorithm and interface of FiiO in the KA17 allows you to fine-tune the frequency, gain levels and bandwidth of each PEQ band, permitting you to dial in the sound you prefer to listen to your music. The PEQ adjustment supports up to PCM 192kHz/24bit formatting. The FiiO KA17 offers exceptional sound personalisation options with this feature to elevate your music listening experience.
MULTISTAGE AUDIO CIRCUIT WITH 4.4 BALANCED OUTPUT AND SEPARATE DIGITAL AND ANALOG BOARDS FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE
FiiO has featured a 4.4mm balanced output that works well with the audio circuits in the KA17, providing a high-fidelity listening experience. Along with LPF voltage amplification, BUF current expansion and the upgraded THX AAA 78+ working together, the KA17 can reproduce the detail and dynamics in your music just like a dedicated digital audio player. The FiiO engineers have also featured separate digital and analogue boards and each circuit board is placed separately with a shielding cover for total isolation. This layout ensures that the digital and analogue portions of the audio circuit do not interfere with each other, enabling accurate processing of audio signals.
FURNISHED WITH A 3-STAGE, 10-RAIL ROBUST POWER-SUPPLY CIRCUIT IN A COMPACT DESIGN
Fiio KA17 has a robust power supply in a compact design. It is assembled in a three-main stage design. The initial stage consists of filtering coupled with overvoltage protection, the second stage works on DC-DC conversion and the third stage delivers LDO voltage stabilization. Each stage works on specific aspects of the audio circuit, which are digital conversion, digital-to-analogue conversion, and analogue signal conversion. The power supply is subsided into ten smaller rails, like the ones found in desktop headphone amplifiers, to ensure resilience and high-quality sound output.
FEATURES A USB TYPE C PORT AND SPDIF OUTPUT FOR INDEPENDENT POWER SUPPLY
FiiO features two USB Type-C ports for independent power supply in the KA17. One is the typical port used to connect to other devices such as phones, tablets and computers. The orange port on the side is provided for an external power supply. When an external power supply is connected to this port, the KA17 can achieve higher power output and better performance without consuming the battery of your phone or other connected device. FiiO has also featured SPDIF output in the KA17 supported by the 3.5mm headphone jack, with which you can transform it into a digital jukebox. The SPDIF output supports a 96kHz/32bit sample rate. You can connect to an external high-end DAC for flexibility and better sound quality. With sufficient USB power supply input and desktop mode enabled, the KA17's four THX headphone amps work together parallelly for more significant current and overall power output. The result is up to 270mW+270mW power output for single-ended out and up to 650mW+650mW power output for balanced out.
PROVISIONED WITH DESKTOP MODE, UAC1.0 DRIVER-FREE MODE AND ANDROID FIIO CONTROL APPLICATION SUPPORT
The FiiO KA17 features desktop mode, taking your jamming sessions to the next level. The desktop mode is refined with the release of various products, such as the portable yet desktop-grade M17, Q7, M15S, Q15 and KA13. And now the perfected desktop mode has found its way to the KA17. The FIIO KA17 features a special desktop mode, activated using the dedicated D.Mode switch. Enable the desktop mode, and the KA17 will automatically adjust the DAC, amplifier power supply, and amplifier power output to unleash the potential with greater power output. The FiiO KA17 also supports the Android FiiO control App. FiiO has also featured a UAC1.0 Driver-free mode, which allows you to plug in and enjoy your gaming sessions. If the display shows 'Output error', the FiiO KA17 will stop outputting. Please disconnect the USB power supply, unplug the headphones, and then reconnect the USB power and replug the headphones to use it.
2.If the display shows 'Over temperature', the FiiO KA17 is overheating abnormally. Please disconnect the USB power supply and try again after it cools down. It is suggested to enable the Desktop mode in non-high temperature environments.
3.If the display shows 'Powerless', it means that the power supply of the current USB port is insufficient and the output power is limited.

Fiio KA17 has a robust power supply in a compact design. It is assembled in a three-main stage design. The initial stage consists of filtering coupled with overvoltage protection, the second stage works on DC-DC conversion and the third stage delivers LDO voltage stabilization. Each stage works on specific aspects of the audio circuit, which are digital conversion, digital-to-analogue conversion, and analogue signal conversion. The power supply is subsided into ten smaller rails, like the ones found in desktop headphone amplifiers, to ensure resilience and high-quality sound output.
FEATURES A USB TYPE C PORT AND SPDIF OUTPUT FOR INDEPENDENT POWER SUPPLY
FiiO features two USB Type-C ports for independent power supply in the KA17. One is the typical port used to connect to other devices such as phones, tablets and computers. The orange port on the side is provided for an external power supply. When an external power supply is connected to this port, the KA17 can achieve higher power output and better performance without consuming the battery of your phone or other connected device. FiiO has also featured SPDIF output in the KA17 supported by the 3.5mm headphone jack, with which you can transform it into a digital jukebox. The SPDIF output supports a 96kHz/32bit sample rate. You can connect to an external high-end DAC for flexibility and better sound quality. With sufficient USB power supply input and desktop mode enabled, the KA17's four THX headphone amps work together parallelly for more significant current and overall power output.
