AKM AK4493 DAC
Experience high-performance sound quality from the Topping Audio E30. This tiny DAC boasts of an AKM AK4493 DAC chip that offers hi-res sound up to DSD512 and PCM 32-bit/768kHz. It offers 6 filter modes under PCM decoding and an additional 2 filters under DSD decoding to adjust the details as per your preference. It is Hi-Res certified by the Japan Audio Society.
The E30 supports all the commonly used inputs so that you can connect it to just about any device of your choice (including your mobile phone). This includes USB, optical and coaxial. The 2nd gen XMOS XU208 USB supports high-resolution signals while the AK411 S/PDIF receiver ensures the lowest amount of jitters and is compatible with the optical and coaxial connections. Use the customised Thesycon drivers to get optimum performance with your PC (Window 7 & above).
The 5V power supply lets you use the E30 anytime and anywhere. You can power it using your mobile phone charger, the USB slot in your computer as well as a portable charger. With the portable charger, you can use your E30 as a portable DAC. The auto on/off function can further save power. If the DAC is unable to detect any input signal for a minute, it will go into standby mode. As soon as it detects one, it will automatically switch on.
Need a pre-amp or standalone DAC? The E30 does both. The nifty little remote lets you adjust the volume from -99dB to 0dB when you directly connect the E30 to any active speaker or power-amp. In Pure DAC mode, the DSD signal is able to bypass the Delta Sigma Modulator and DATT Soft Mute to offer a pure, DSD performance.

HPZ has been doing a great service to the Indian audiophile community by bringing great products to our shores. The Topping E30 maintains that tradition. There are tons of rave reviews of this wonderful product on the Internet; there's not much I can add to that - I just want to request HPZ to keep bringing the full range of Topping products to India. And also look at other brands like SMSL, Burson, Vista Audio, JDS Labs etc.
I've been using this for a week now and I gotta say, this is an amazing little DAC especially for the price. I was tracking it for a few months and also considered importing it but HPZ managed to stock this wonderful product right in time. So kudos! I have paired this with my JDS Atom Amp and Bayer Amiron's and I must say I'm really impressed with the resulting sound output. The clarity and soundstage is really good and as advertised and reviewed by other audiophiles on YT, DSD512 Direct works flawlessly. I've not really messed about with the filters much so I cant really comment on those although I feel 3 & 4 sounded cleaner to my ears. Compared to the other two DACs I own (Fiio Q5 & Zorloo Ztella) this definitely serves its purpose as my desktop DAC of choice. Although, I still prefer the sound profile provided by the ESS Sabre 9281CPRO chip to the ones provided by AKM, but thats just me. Highly recommend this DAC to anyone looking for the best price=performance imo. Check out the reviews on YT and other sources (Audiosciencereview) on this product & see why this is the talk of the town.
I got this today and they sound fantastic straight out of the box. All the expert reviews of this little DAC is correct. I really don't have anything to add other than to nod in agreement to all the reviews I watched (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3W8wh_nObA) and read online. The hype is real. They do pair very well with the IFI XCAN. Thank you Headphonezone for bringing it to India.
The good: Price, detailed and clean output, USB out, build quality sans remote, display presentation in orange digital
Not so good: power adapter not part of the kit, flimsy remote, no volume controls on the unit, if something goes wrong with the unit it will become useless, range and accuracy of remote is very poor - won't work if not directed properly or when triggered from a distance, only one output.
TOPPING - E30
It is a pleasurable DAC to listen to. Not the ultimate in detail retrieval, but that makes it sound less grainy on bad recordings and one can listen to it for longer hours. It is warmer sounding, as the mid-range is more lush and forward sounding. Sound stage is impressively wide. Yeah! i like it.
The Audiofly Dragon Cobalt has slow filters built into it for 'Natural' sound. The Topping E30 has the same at a much lower price. There are six filters here. Now, my ears couldn't tell a single difference between any of those filters. However, I have set it to Super-Slow as others have spoken about it's smoothness.
TOPPING - E30
Superb service by Headphone zone as always & super fast delivery, thank you brining this product to India for audiophiles like us appreciated :)
Please find my Initial impressions below on TOPPING E30.
Highs are more refined, Considerable details in mids & Low is more punchy than normal
Build / usability :-
Solid build with good finish, Display is clear & comes with 3 levels with dimmer option. Easy to use remote with all the function
Filters - The one feature which i was looking forward for is kind of disappointing, frankly speaking out of 6 filters, i could really identity only 3 filters which are slightly distinctive, remaining 3 filters are just numbers on it :( If someone feels it differently please let me know, would like to play those tracks & spot the difference.
Thats boon in my case, finally i got remote to control my Norge Concerto Gold 1000 volume. So happy :p "Pharrell Williams - Happy"
Compared to my AmazonBasic DAC, Overall i would say considerable improvement in SQ - but not to the extend which will "Wow" you if your very serious/picky listener its a beginner DAC.
