The headphones sound excellent for the price for a clear, balanced, but entertaining enough not to sound boring. It is also very comfortable. Soundstage is good. Bass is tastefully done.
But the durability of the headphone is very poor. One side snapped off and then the other ones joint with the earcup broke all of a sudden. I can't use it or sell it in this condition.
My first open back experience is simply sublime.
I was a bit underwhelmed when it first arrived, but after I let it burn in the AR5000 sounds so smooooth.
I never appreciated vocals and mids so much before, and the sense of space is so real. These headphones look so sick as well, and the built quality is just phenomenal.

Solid build, solid price point, stylish look, great sound
It's my first open back headphone I don't have a solid frame of reference, only my IEMs (Fiio FH3) and an entry level closed back headphone (Mackie MC 100).
The open soundstage is an eye opening experience, the bass and treble are crisp, but the vocals are on the quieter end, though I often bump up those on my IEMs, so it might be a personal preference thing.
The build quality and the stylish look are a breath of fresh air at this price point, I love that companies have Aune to look to for competing in this area on looks with performance to back it up.
Can you go higher? Yes, but this is definitely a peak I'll be comfortable at for the foreseeable future.
Need to save up for a worthy DAC to accompany this thing.

Aune has nailed the tuning. Very enjoyable midrange and smooth treble. Although the treble can be a bit bright sometimes depending on source gear and the song, it brings that clarity that I like to have in my songs.
The bass is not too much in amount and in par with something like Sundara but when boosted by EQ or by bass ifi xbass option in ifi zen dac/can the bass becomes more voluminous without any major distortion which the Sennheiser HD 600 shows when bass boosted. I don't like too much bass in headphones as it ruins midrange and treble clarity. This amount is sufficient for me.
The air region is toned down a bit but the ear gain region is perfect so songs don't lack energy and neither do they feel too shouty.
The soundstage is spacious and has depth with proper amp (This headphone is easy to drive and is fine with a dongle but if provided with an amp, it scales up in sound quality). Although it is not very wide, it's enough to identify and separate different layers of the music and image them properly. It's similar to Sundara's soundstage and a little bit bigger than that.
The Comfort is also great - the clamp is on the loose side so they feel snug but not tight. Top top leather strap distributes the weight properly so there is no hotspot on the head. The headphones weigh 350g which is on the heavier side and feels a bulky after 1-2 hours. Other than that there are no comfort issues. The pads are deep so the driver doesn't touch the ears and the inner diameter of the pads is big enough to accommodate even larger ears. I have medium size ears so have no problems.
All in all, it's a great headphone at it's price point of 25k and compliments well to headphones that I already have like the Sundara, Edition XS and HD 600/650.

I own Sennheiser HD650 and Hifiman Sundara, so those are my reference points. I went to Headphones Connect, Pune event recently and tried out a lot of headphones. 3 headphones stood out - Aune AR5000, Audeze LCD X and Hifiman Arya Organic. The AR5000s punch miles above their weight and price range. So I went for it. Here are some specifics on AR5000 -
Imaging and soundstage - pretty great, drivers are placed at a different angle to the ears and far enough away to create excellent sense of spatial sound
Bass - pretty good, well controlled, not muddy
Mids - comparable to HD650
Highs - smooth, satisfying, no sibilance
Overall, the sound is musical, lively, energetic, non-fatiguing and has a great sense of space. I felt that the AR5000s are shockingly good and I thoroughly enjoyed them!

The Aune AR5000 takes the legendary, intimate vocal presentation of the Sennheiser HD600 and completely fixes its biggest flaws: narrow soundstage and rolled-off bass. The AR5000 offers incredible sub-bass linearity that extends deeply, while keeping the midrange sweet and articulate. The soundstage is wide, open, and heavily layered, making acoustic guitar plucks and atmospheric echoes feel holographic. The build quality with the metallic champagne mesh look is gorgeous, and the comfort is 10/10 with zero clamp force fatigue. A massive home run by Aune Audio!
This is my first real "audiophile" product. Earlier I was using Sony H900N which is quite decent and it costs around 10k.
I mostly listen to soundtracks, and Aune AR5000 has been a major upgrade. It is built well, very comfortable, and it sounds awesome. Initially I thought it sounded too airy with plenty of details, but after I did side by side comparisons with other headphone by listening to same track, I understood how well balanced it is and music sounds a lot more lively. Mids, treble and openness of sound is really good. Most importantly, there were few tracks which sounded harsh to me due to dynamic range of volume, but in this headphone even when during loud parts of the track it is never harsh. Bass is clear and thumpy, but I prefer it to be a just a tad bit more quantity wise.
I tried using the equalizer profile of resolve from his review of AR5000, and now it sounds just perfect! I plan on using this headphone for a long time, so I even got 3 spare headphone pads (clearly overkill).
Thanks to HeadphoneZone for bringing this amazing product to India as well as for stocking spare headphones pads, which I consider a must as headphone pads deteriorate with time and it impacts comfort and changes sound signature.

The headphone looks premium and is very comfortable for its weight. The cable and accessories could be better. As for the sound, it's just right for a diverse set of use cases. the mids are smooth, the treble is almost perfect (a slight eq down), and the bass is great for an open back. Very responsive to EQ in general. Great gaming headphones as well. Overall, I enjoy these.

The AR5000 is incredibly nice looking. Modern yet stylistic. What's more, even though it is made out of metal, it is extremely light.
If you're looking for a headphone that sounds just a tiny bit ethereal, with good comfort, an open, airy sound, and with a smooth, relaxed presentation, Aune AR5000 is a fully recommended model.
