What does "ships within 24 hours" mean?

In a nutshell, ships within 24 hours basically means that your product will be shipped out or dispatched from our warehouse within 24 hours after placing the order. It also indicates that the products are readily available at our warehouse and once we receive your order, we dispatch it out at the earliest either on the same day or the next working day depending on when you’ve placed your order.

What it does not mean:

A lot of our customers assume that it means their order will get delivered to them within 24 hours, but that’s not what it means. For an order to reach you, it can take anywhere up to 3-4 business days, depending on which part of India you are placing an order from.

In case you receive the FiiO - BTR15 with a manufacturing defect, please raise a return request within 7 days of delivery.

However, if you receive an incorrect / damaged / different product or one with missing accessories, please raise a return request within 24 hours of delivery. In case you receive a product with a missing, incorrect, or faulty accessory, you will be given a replacement accessory instead of the entire product.

Please make sure that the product is in the original packaging with all the accessories it came with. We'll also need an unboxing video and images of the parcel to investigate about the discrepancy. You may be asked to share images of the product and the packaging received for us to determine the damage or defect prior to approving the return request. The free replacement will be shipped only once the original order is returned.

FiiO engineers developed an independent power supply system for the BTR15's DAC ES9219MQ, ensuring a cleaner power source. The external power supply, designed for low noise and high current, enhances the BTR15's balanced output power by 40% to 340 mW, perfect for portable use. The BTR15 offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, boosting contact reliability. These dual outputs support various headphones, elevating your listening experience. What is the warranty like and who should I contact?

FiiO offers a one year warranty. If you need to claim warranty, you can contact us. We are quite friendly people, just sayin. You can read more about warranty here.

Why can't BTR15 be paired and connected to my phone? How to reset?

[Clear the pairing information on your phone]
Go to Settings-Bluetooth to delete the BTR15 pairing information and reconnect it to BTR15.

When it is on, hold both the volume- and volume+ buttons at the same time for about 5s.

Hold the Power button for at least 10 seconds to reset it.

Introduction of the three modes

Toggle the mode switch to select the mode you want to use.
PC mode: Toggle the switch to the top. The BTR15 will enter the USB decoding mode for desktop devices, and can be powered through USB.
BT mode: Toggle the switch to the middle. The BTR15 will enter the Bluetooth receiving mode, and can be powered through USB.
PHONE mode: Toggle the mode switch to the bottom. The BTR15 will enter the decoding mode for mobile phones, and will be disabled from USB charging (The device will be forced to charge if it is powered off for low battery).

How to enter pairing mode in BT mode? How to clear the pairing list of BTR15?

BT mode: Toggle the switch to the middle. The BTR15 will enter the Bluetooth receiving mode, and can be powered through USB.

1.If the device is never paired: After the device powers on, it will automatically enter the pairing mode with the display showing “PAIRING”;After the device restarted, it will reconnect to the last connected device automatically.
2. Force the device to enter pairing mode: After the device is successfully connected, hold the Multifunction button for about 5s until the display shows “PAIRING”.

How to use the BTR15 as a USB DAC for mobile phones in PHONE mode?

PHONE mode: Toggle the mode switch to the bottom. The BTR15 will enter the decoding mode for mobilephones, and will be disabled from USB charging (The device will be forced to charge if it is powered off for low battery).

[Android phone]

Use the Type-C to Type-C cable included in the package to connect the BTR15 to your mobile phone. Play music to directly enjoy high-quality music.
Note: If there is no sound after connecting, you need to pay attention to the following points:

1. Settings on apps, such as FiiO Music, there is a USB output that needs to be enabled, but some devices will have sound only with the USB output turned off.
2. Please check if the USB debugging is enabled in developer modeYou may need to open 'Developer Options' in 'Other Advanced Settings', and then enable the 'USB Debugging' or 'OTG' function
3. Please confirm whether the cable is FiiO's C to C cable, whether the cable is reversed as there is a direction indication.
4. After the above settings are completed, you can try to re-plug the data cable, or play the track, play another track to make sure whether it is a hardware or software issue. If your issue remains, please contact our customer service to confirm whether it needs to be returned.

[iPhone/iPad]

Please buy an extra Lightning to Type-C OTG cable.
Connect the BTR15 to the iPhone/iPad/iPod via this cable to enjoy high-quality music.

Note: IOS devices won't need too many settings. If there is no sound, it may be the adapter cable or the data port is in poor contact.

How to use the car mode?

Enable the Car mode and connect the BTR15 to an on-board USB port. When the vehicle engine starts, theBTR15 will power on automatically, and power off when the engine stops.
The car mode could be available in BT, PC or PHONE mode.

How to connect the BTR15 to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously in BT mode?

After a successful pairing with device 1, hold the Multifunction button for about 5s to enter the pairing mode again. Search for 'BTR15' on device 2 and pair it with the BTR15. Back to device 1, select 'FIIO BTR15' in the Bluetooth device list and reconnect them; or, after connecting the BTR15 with device 1 successfully, reenter the pairing mode and connect to device 2. After a successful pairing with device 2, short press the Multifunction button to reconnect to device 1; or, restart the BTR15 after a successful pairing with device 2, so the BTR15 can be connected to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

About the remote control and microphone function in BTR15

Microphone is not supported in USB DAC mode. When connecting via Bluetooth connection, you could use the microphone in BTR15 for calling.
The in-line remote control and microphone function in headphone are not supported by the BTR15.

Best Bluetooth DAC

Started exploring this dac, loaded with many features, even 3.5 mm single ended sounds good. In Bluetooth I got 5.30 hours of play time with BT Volume of 80% and phone Volume of 70%. Build quality is great. Had to try with 4.4mm bal cable. Tried using Moondrop chu 2 and I also have truth ear crinacle red, need to try this with btr15. Yes, I'm satisfied with the performance. Not distorted at peak Volume. My first dac from fiio. Thanks a ton HPZ. Please add colorful brand to HPZ Catalogue which is available in Hifigo and conceptkart. I hope HPZ will keep this in mind. Beast of its class

I feel noticeable difference in sound quality with this DAC in both wired and wireless modes. But it comes with a few quirks though. 1. The equalizer is not supported in wired mode. If at all it's on, you need to turn off unplug, replug, etc., phew. But Bluetooth LDAC 96khz is incredible. Much better than phone's audio. It comes with a very short range though. Starts breaking up in 5 meter distance. 2. The Fiio app isn't great. Needs a bit of work. It keeps loading for every section of the app. 3. Battery life is decent. LDAC consumes a lot of battery. While aptx lasts very long. I tested on TV and laptop. The sound quality was just brilliant. Though it was just 48khz.

Otherwise the DAC is totally worth it. And the case just fits right. So thanks to headphonezone. For the affordability and quick shipping. You rock, as always.

Punchy neutral, with ample air. Battery sucks.

Design
- Small And Snug
- Is supplied with a clip cover so you can attach it in your t-shirt, lower, etc.

Build
- The front and back glass is curved
- Can be slippery without cover, but the size is too small for that
- The sides are made up of some kind of metal, and feels good in hand

Bluetooth
- There is an option to disable bluetooth codecs in fiio control app which you don't want to use.
- Range is good (about 10 mtr, without any obstacle)
- Connection is stable.

Battery
- About 3 hrs in bluetooth mode, with low gain and 25-40 volume range.
- Charges in less than 2hrs (almost 1hr 40 min)

Sound

Bass
- Punchy and rounded, with ample amount of sub bass
- Mid bass slam isn’t very powerfull, but still it’s the right amount
- Upper bass feels light.

Mids
- Just Like upper bass, lower mids feel’s light, but still holds enough clarity.
- Overall mids aren’t very forward or shouty, but rather smooth.

Treble

- Ample amount of air and little to no harshness.
- Not a very energetic treble, its just smooth.

Soundstage

- Stage has equivalent width and depth.
- Good with unbalanced, Very good with balanced port
- Sounds very holographic/3d.

Imaging

- Not pinpoint but still everything is placed evenly
- Bass is forward, and mids are placed, bit behind.
- Instruments are placed around your head.

Drivability

- Can power my hd 600 to a acceptable level, but maybe they require more juice 🫡.

Resolution

- Comparing with my ka3 the resolution is comparable, but still the ka3 win in terms of overall clarity, as it sounds more cold and bass light.

Conclusion

- A very enjoyable sound, which is smooth and non fatiguing.
- Difference between wired and bluetooth isn’t very big, but there is.
