Nice product and noticeable audio quality

After watching a whole lot of videos and reading all the reviews finally decided to go with the FIIO BTR52021 and I bought this DAC to use with my KZ ZSN Pro X with balanced cable. I used it as both a USB DAC and Bluetooth DAC with my Nothing Phone 1, works great both ways. Build quality is great. It changed the way music sounds to me. I don't know how to describe it properly but it's a worthy purchase for me.

The DAC amp itself is very good. It has a very neutral presentation and enough power to drive any IEM including planars. There is practically 0 noise. The FiiO control app is very good and functional... so no problems there. Where I was disappointed and I decided to deduct 1 star is that my type c to c cable that was provided didn't work at all. I mean its completely dead... Had to buy a new cable to use it in USB DAC mode with my phone.. so there's that.
The Build is very good and its solid. The provided case cum clip comes in handy when out and about. There are lots of wireless codecs to choose from. I think its close to 7 including various aptx codecs and LDAC. The screen shows the codec in wireless mode and the sampling rate in USB DAC mode. The dac can connect to 2 devices at once and through the fiio app you can chose what connection mode to give priority to. Also there is no hiss or no noise that I could discern. So if you are looking for a DAC at this price then you can look at this.
If you decided to get this dac then play around with the fiio app. There is so much hidden in there.
Side note the mic is very good for taking calls.

It has relatively good battery life giving avg of 8hrs on SBC. The sound they produce were amazing Bluetooth connection is stable most of the time.

The recommendation of FiiO - BTR5 2021 by the headphone zone team has been fantafabulous, extreamly great. I am looking forward to more guidance to these kind of stuff which makes me enjoy the music and feel happy 😊. I will not write more at present as I am at present enjoying the DAC that I have just layed my hands now. A detailed review will be written later on. Thank you 😊.

This is my first external DAC Amp. Prior to this I was using a LG quad dac phone (sabre chip) which is excellent too. So my comparisons are with LG quad dac using 60ohm koss porta pro with Spotify premium on Samsung phone.

There is slightly better detail retrieval in BTR5 in both BT and wired mode.
I only tried single ended as I do not have any balanced wired headphones.

Sound is very balanced with good mids and bass extension. Highs are perfect and do not sound harsh providing good details. Soundstage is also very wide making listening experience very good.

I also tested btr5 with 150ohms faaeal rosemary and they were driven very easily and sounded excellent.
Build quality is very good with good accessories set.

For 8k this is a very good buy with both wired and BT abilities and also providing balanced and single ended outputs. I highly recommend it.

It's everything i expected it to be and more, vlean audio and premium metal body with glass sandwich.
Pay attention to the usb-C cable it has arrow markings if u put it the wrong way it won't work in usb mode also go to bluetooth devices and turn on hd mode for LDAC or btr5 will be stuck in aptX mode

I primarily wanted to buy a good Bluetooth DAC as phones now are omitting 3.5mm jack and my car's factory fitted entertainment system didn't have bluetooth.
However, after going through several reviews, I shortlisted BTR 5 and BTR 7, but bought BTR 5 as my primary requirement was for car.
I got the best price for BTR 5 on Headphone Zone when compared to Amazon and Flipkart.
Got delivery in 3 days (Could have been better).
Product and delivery packaging was good and the product itself appears to be well constructed.
I like the effort that Headphone zone took to share the list songs from different genre. Sound output was good. I'm no audiophile but I could easily say that the audio quality was a bit better with no compromise on volume. I first checked BTR 5 with my wired in-ear sennheiser and my mobile (s22 ultra). Then next day, I tested BTR 5 in my car ( honda city 3rd gen) and the connection and playback was seamless.
Did one test call with BTR 5's mic and the receivers didn't complain about any issues is hearing my voice.
To share some constructive feedback:
1. With mobile there were times when I had to disconnect and re-connect via bluetooth to get proper audio output.
2. In car, I had to one time disconnect and re-connect to get it working. After that, it worked flawlessly.

Overall, I like the product, not sure if it is worth the price as I haven't tried any other similar product.

Would definitely recommend the BTR 5 to others.

This is my first DAC/amp, extremely happy with the product. The only issue I faced was that I was unable to download the windows 10 driver from Fiio's official website for this particular model.
Rest works very well on my phone.

6-8 hours of battery life feels a little less for the price point but also from that it's flawless.
Sound, handling and usage are perfect. Given this is the only product at this price point with Bluetooth, it's still a solid device and you can't go wrong buying this.

Definitely a good DAC if you are trying to listen to music wirelessly, however the option of using a DAC for wirelessly listening to music is bit redundant, realised bit late. Just tried the Audiocular TP Pro 30 CCA with PLA13 in Balanced 4.4 mm sounds awesome. Would say BTR5 is an average DAC unless you are looking a redundant feature of listening good music wirelessly. Bluetooth and Good Music is an Oxymoron :-) Decision is yours however.
