I would highly recommend this tiny DAC for people looking to connect their TV to a hifi system that supports only analogue input.
My audio setup consists of my laptop, khadas tone1 dac, audiophile grade Poweramp powering self built loud speakers from reference grade drivers. I have been using this for about 5 to 6 years and have gotten used to the sound. I would call it a budget friendly, reasonably good sound system. I was thinking of an upgrade for TV 's sound, we started looking for sound bars. We demoed several bars ranging from 20k to 1.3L price, but we were not satisfied. So, I decided to hook up my little speakers to the TV analogue output... As I expected, the sound was atrocious.
Fiio D03k came in handy. It is definitely not top of the line dac, but it is a decent unit that solves the problem. The sound signature is very similar to older Fiio K1 USB DAC. Sound is full bodied and the unit is well built. The price point is also very reasonable for the quality it delivers.

I recently bought it to use it with my LG C2 and some old 3.5mm jack speakers i had. Works pretty well and enhances the loudness.

First day experience. Firestick into tv toslink to Fii0 into Philips Valve amp into original philips 12" 2 way speakers. Music source 24 & more bit 320K high resolution FLAC internet radio. Yet to listen on my JBL headphone amp, with Fii0 dual driver headphone., and integrated stereo amp. sound qualty flat over frequency spectrum. No sub reqd.,It uplifts the tonal quality, hence produces bright sound. Happy to be associated with your team.

After much effort of trying to connect my smart tv with speakers … I figured I would need something to convert the audio from optical to rca.. I even got a similar product from Amazon but the volume output was very low and signal also wasn’t clear… this dac is great and has changed the way my tv was sounding … I have it connected with HEOS 7 by denon

Connected it to my LG TV which didn't have a headphone jack. I had to connect it to an age old sony sound bar which sounded good. I set the TV output to PCM and had to insert the optical cable. Works well and the sound quality is very good. Does not fail like the cheaper ones.
