I wanted to own IEMs which are unforgiving and represent the music as is without adding much colour to it. Chose these over Blessings 2 but you can't go wrong with either of these. I use these with Shanling M3X with balanced 4.4 mm connection and they get along well. I would agree these are more on analytical side than fun to listen to. If that's what you want, do go for FH5S Pro.

A short prelude: I purchased my first pair of IEMs around 5 years ago. They were the MEE audio M6 Pros (1st gen). They last for a year before I lost them while shifting countries. Since then, I have longed to get back into the IEM world, but have steered towards options with ANC to suit the heavy traveling I did.
Having finally settled in once place, and carved out some time for music - I took the opportunity to dive back into the IEM world with a budget friendly pair.
So far, I'm really enjoying the FH5s pro. It has a wide soundstage, great detail, and it's quite balanced across vocals, treble and bass. I haven't experienced any muddiness or incoherence. So far hasn't required any tuning, but I do appreciate that each unit can be individually tuned using the switches. Though they are truly quite beautiful IEMs with a lovely design and nice solid build, they are a bit bulky, rivaling the 1000XM4's in size, and they seem quite heavy in-ear, but finally they fit quite snug and don't move around too much even when walking. I do tend to take them off after about an hour, as they can sometimes feel a bit cumbersome due to the weight.
The cable is also a nice-ish quality, it doesn't get tangled, but also doesn't fit as well over the ears as I would like. Wide choice of ear tips are great, and I experimented to find the right fit, but with so much choice I had no doubt I would find it.
Really pleased with this purchase. I feel like it's a great mid-range IEM, and it both satiates the appetite for quality music, but really makes me want to explore the higher end IEMs. In this way it serves perfectly for it's price and for the purpose, offering a great introduction into audiophile quality IEMs, but also now whetting my appetite for more high quality IEMs.
