FiiO - JD3
In-Ears With 1 Dynamic DriverUnfortunately, even if we desire to, we won't be able to resurrect this product. The Museum is where we pay our respects to end-of-life, old, archived, but not forgotten products. This page was made with a lot of love and will live on for posterity. What to say, we're sentimental people. 😔
While this product is gone forever, here are others we recommend
Customers praised the "spectacular" sound quality with strong bass and good soundstage. Many noted "excellent value" at this price point with sturdy build quality. However, some found clarity lacking at high volumes, bass occasionally overpowering mids, and fit issues. A few customers reported disappointing audio quality and missing USB-C adapters.
- The sound quality and stage is just spectacular.
- You get what you pay for. I got too much.
- At this price point it's a steal. Blindly go for it without second thought.
I'm posting the review after using it for 7 Days. Here's My Short & Straight Forward opinion, (I've used Moondrops and RHAs)
*Magical Boomy Bass and deep vocal with good wide soundstage*
-Yes its for those Indian Bassy People, Good enough tuned bass drivers.
best in this range of 1.5k.
-Vocals are centred and deep *lacks a clarity* but over all good
-noise isolation is very good and fits perfectly.
With good Instrumental songs you will get MAGICAL EXPERIENCE.
-volume at 50% will blow your ears!(enough amp)
**Only Cons :
-As i mentioned if it is more tuned for clarity which gaps between bass and vocals that would be different level.
-slippery button controls and thin buttons. Hard to click center button.
*Yes it is Value for money and must try at Once*
*fiiO should launch these types of signature earphones between 2k to 3k too.
As far as HEADPHONEZONE SERVICE...As always Fast and reliable.
Thank You.
Hey there, nothing makes us happier than knowing you loved your purchase, hope you had a comfortable shopping experience and thank you for the great review and ratings!
Unbelievable at this price, though it lacks some clarity at full volume but it's not something u can't live with considering the price point. Very well built and I hope they will last long. These r now my go to earphones. Loved it.
Thank you for your genuine feedback on this product, we're glad that you have such positive thoughts about the product.
This would generally be the definition of v shape sound signature. Almost after burning about around 50 hours etc, mids are starting to open up a mid however treble is a bit muddy though. May give it a little more time to burn. Quality wise, the earphone is slightly heavy but stays in your ears with the right fit. Wiring and 3.5mm has a nice feel to it, can take few hits however need to maintain it.
Thanks a lot for your detailed and genuine feedback, we're glad that you have such positive thoughts about the product and we'll share your thoughts with the brand as well. It'll also help our fellow customers to make the right choice!
This earphone was a new listing in Headphone Zone. I had my doubts but did my own research on google for feedback, it was a good choice to buy. I am happy with my purchase.
Tried these for the fun of it after reading lot of good reviews. They sound good out of the box. Bass is a bit more punchy than I like but good still. Build quality is excellent
HPZ delivery was as always phenomenal
If you take frequent skype or teams call and tiered of official standard issue headphones and occasionally want to enjoy great music, This is an excellent earphone.
cable does not get tangled. easy to carry in a bag. i liked its subtle yet robust Scandinavian style design
Guys! this iem was released under the label of JadeAudio which is FiiO's sister brand. Now they tried well by the design and build but it lacks somewhat in ergonomics because of slightly big earcups. The sub-bass response is good but then it is the one that sometimes overpowers the mid-range and I found this issue on many tracks. Mid-bass has energy, the soundstage is head centric and so is the imaging. Vocals sound good until the bass starts laying over the mids and this happens in the bass tracks with vocals. The 100mW input power has no worth with just 16ohm of impedance. Highs are okay to listen to but have no shimmer. I had high hopes for it and was keen to buy these...I still prefer CRA over JD3.

DESCRIPTION
EQUIPPED WITH A 9.2MM COMPOSITE DYNAMIC DRIVER COUPLED WITH A POWERFUL NEODYMIUM MAGNET AND CCAW VOICE COIL FOR EXCEPTIONAL AUDIO
The FiiO JD3 is the latest addition to the line-up of high-performing budget in-ears from the brand. The FiiO JD3 is equipped with a single dual cavity 9.2mm composite dynamic driver with low impedance (16 ohms) and high sensitivity (107dB). You will have no problems driving the JD3 with a smartphone, tablet, or PC. FiiO JD3 is designed and developed from selected materials. The composite diaphragm of the new 9.2mm wide dynamic driver is driven by a powerful neodymium magnet coupled with a CCAW voice coil. The JD3 produces "deep bass, luscious mids, and bright treble" because of its reflection-absorbing foam ring system enclosed in a precisely constructed outer cavity frame. Despite not being a multi-driver IEM, the JD3's single dynamic driver is tuned to reproduce full-range sound across the frequency spectrum.
METICULOUSLY TUNED ACOUSTICS WITH SOUND REFLECTION ABSORBING DESIGN DELIVERING DISTORTION-FREE AUDIO
A scientific approach is employed to create the JD3's internal acoustic design to ensure optimum driver performance. FiiO has specifically built the inner cavity of the JD3 where the driver is located to prevent unwanted reflections and sound waves that cause distortion. The sound-absorbing foam is strategically placed near the JD3's dynamic driver to absorb sound waves (including reducing standing waves) and guide the rest of the sound waves in the desired direction. The result is a precise sound that elevates and balances tonality, scale, and dynamics. JD3 has resolution and detail up top so each instrument sounds natural and full-bodied.
HI-RES AUDIO CERTIFIED IN-EARS WITH A SEMI-OPEN BALANCED PRESSURE RELIEF SYSTEM TO GIVE YOU AN OPEN AND AIRY SOUND EXPERIENCE
The FiiO JD3 has been certified by JAS (Japan Audio Society) and CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) to be Hi-Res Audio capable in recognition of its ability to bring you accurate, high-fidelity audio as the artist intended. This certification is the result of tuning and embedding the latest technology. Each component, including the driver, neodymium magnets, and CCAW voice coils, works together to produce an incredibly detailed sound. FiiO JD3 adopts a semi-open acoustic design called the Balanced Pressure Relief System. This patented balanced pressure relief system has numerous benefits. For sound quality, balancing air pressure inside and outside of the JD3 reduces distortion and allows for a cleaner audio experience with essential air and openness. For comfort, the balanced pressure relief system eliminates pressure on your eardrum so you can listen longer without discomfort.
EQUIPPED WITH AN OXYGEN-FREE COPPER CABLE AND HIGH-DEFINITION MICROPHONE WITH IN-LINE CONTROLS PROVIDING CLEAN CALL QUALITY
The FiiO JD3 is an all-rounder in many aspects and is a perfect companion for communication. It has an Oxygen-Free Copper cable that provides clean signal transmission and protects it from oxidation. FiiO JD3 is embedded with HD microphones that allow you to communicate clearly without audio degradation. The embedded microphone is placed 13cm down the cables, so it is placed at the perfect level for the microphone to pick up the voice nice and clear. This microphone offers considerable noise suppression and comes with in-line controls to receive and drop calls. The in-line remote allows you to quickly play/pause and adjust the volume of your music to your liking without having to reach for the source device. The in-line control and the microphone are wrapped in an aluminium shell, to add to the overall aesthetic of the JD3.
DURABLY BUILT WITH STAINLESS STEEL SHELLS AND ALUMINIUM ALLOY PLUGS
FiiO is known in the audio industry to offer high-quality and durably built IEMs, and the JD3 is no different. JD3's stunning solid unibody stainless steel construction for its shells is the consequence of prioritising build quality in the design process. Stainless steel is the material of choice for the JD3 and allows the intricate craftsmanship of the clever unibody design, to truly shine and positively radiate with energy. For JD3's every detail, superior quality materials are used as a base to improve the overall product even further, including the audio plug, which is made of aluminium alloy materials to ensure more reliability. The use of these materials extends the life of the JD3 and gives it a premium feel.
SHOWCASING A STRAIGHT INSERTION DESIGN PROVIDING LUXURIOUS COMFORT AND BUNDLED WITH ACCESSORIES
FiiO JD3 sports a straight insertion design, which provides a comfortable and snug fit. This design allows you to freely and comfortably start your musical journey. The left "blue" and right "red" design easily allows you to identify each ear unit. In addition, a tactile dot is also present on the left ear unit as another way to let you know which ear unit is left and right. The JD3 has a bullet casing shell design made of a single piece of stainless steel, a straight nozzle neck and a metal mesh tip guard. The back end of the earphones has blue and red arrow cutouts reminiscent of a Transformers' insignia which makes FiiO JD3 earphones stand out from other IEMs. The JD3 also comes with various sizes of bowl-shaped silicone ear tips to give you the perfect fit for your ears to enjoy comfortable long listening sessions.
