The iFi Audio NEO iDSD 2 provides Hi-Res audio support with True Native playback. It handles PCM data to 32-bit/768kHz, DSD up to DSD512 and single and double-speed DXD. The four-channel Burr-Brown DAC chip native design maintains ‘bit-perfect’ in its native form through the analogue conversion. NEO iDSD can perform solely as a DAC, playing all Hi-Res music files from PCM 32-bit/768kHz to DSD512 and full MQA decoding. The powerhouse NEO iDSD 2 also functions as a tuning tailor for your ears with the newly added analogue processing modes. It features XSpace and XBass II, along with the four digital filters, allowing you to fine-tune your preferred sound. The iFi Audio NEO iDSD 2 has five times more powerful headphone output power than the first generation NEO iDSD. The maximum output power is up to 5,551 mW (@ 32Ω). iFi Audio has showcased some significant improvements in the headphone output section of the NEO iDSD 2 with the integration of a Diablo headphone circuit. The NEO iDSD 2 also features the Auto iEMatch that aims to reduce hiss from the highly sensitive IEMs and headphones, resulting in no loss of dynamic range. NEO iDSD 2 provides four gain settings from -12dB to +16dB, making it suitable for super-sensitive to power-demanding IEMs and headphone types.

ACCURATE AUDIO RESOLUTION WITH INTERNAL GMT FEMTO-PRECISION CLOCK

The iFi Audio NEO iDSD 2 incorporates an internal GMT femto-precision clock along with an intelligent storage cache, forming an advanced jitter reduction system. This design is aimed at minimizing jitter in the digital signal, ensuring a clean and precise audio output for your music listening experience. The NEO iDSD 2 is equipped with an external clock input, allowing synchronization with other devices like CD players or network streamers supporting external clock input. By connecting the NEO iDSD 2 and other devices to the 10MHz external sync clock input, you can enhance clock signal accuracy. Even without an external clock, the internal GMT femto-precision clock delivers excellent performance, eliminating issues of poor timing and jittery audio for a superior listening experience.

PERFORMANCE OF ENHANCED CIRCUITRY AND THE XMOS 16-CORE CHIP PROCESSOR

iFi Audio has also provided the NEO iDSD 2 with an enhanced PureWave circuit design. The balanced dual-mono topology and short signal paths are known for outstanding linearity, minimal noise and distortion, offering you better sonic purity. The performance results of this design are SNR of 120dB, DNR of -120dB, and THD+N of <0.0015%. The XMOS 16-Core chip processes the audio data received via the USB digital input. The iFi Audio NEO iDSD 2 marks its name as the very first lossless Bluetooth DAC & Amp. It features the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which supports the new aptX Lossless codec. The codec provides a maximum bitrate of 1,200kbps and aptX Adaptive has a maximum bitrate of 420kbps, while LDAC offers a higher bitrate of 990kbps. The aptX lossless becomes the first Bluetooth codec that’s capable of streaming CD-quality audio without utilising the compression method that results in degraded sound quality. The iFi Audio Neo iDSD 2 features Qualcomm’s new QCC518x Bluetooth audio chip, which functions well with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
