The sound is pretty good and loud. Details are evident though the sound signature is on basier side. Although there is clear differentiation between low mids and and high..you feel the bass little more. My first KZ item...so I cannot compare it other..... However my biggest issue is with it' s size. It's bulky. And will be difficult for small ear. I wish to exchange this with some other item. Sound 5/5. Fit 3/5. Overall 4/5.

The KZ ZEX Pro is my first-ever IEM, and I was initially skeptical, but it has completely exceeded my expectations. Right out of the box, it sounded amazing, and as I listen to it more, I feel like it's getting even better.
At this price point, it offers an excellent balance of sound, with clear instrument separation and crisp, clean vocalsāsomething I truly noticed after upgrading from regular earbuds. The stock tuning feels neutral yet slightly bright, making it a great all-rounder, and it responds well to EQ and a good DAC. I could distinctly hear changes across all frequency ranges when adjusting the EQ, which speaks to its versatility.
However, this IEM is not for bass heads. While the bass is present and well-matched with other frequencies, the elevated mids and highs can make it feel slightly compressed. That said, the bass still has a nice punch and complements the overall sound profile well. If you love detailed vocals and precise instrument reproduction over an overwhelming bass boost, the ZEX Pro delivers exceptionally.
In terms of comfort, it offers a good and secure fit, though I did experience slight ear pain after more than an hour of use, which might be subjective.
The order was delivered in just three daysāgreat service! However, the packaging was minimal, with no extras like suggested playlists or additional accessories.
Overall, for a first-time IEM user, the KZ ZEX Pro is a fantastic purchase. It delivers clean, well-balanced sound with excellent detail, making it perfect for those who value vocals and instrumental clarity. Audio - Overall : Lower ranges have higher overall volume, frequently overpowers the Upper Mid and Treble.
All sounds are present , don't notice lost tracks or artefacts, as a Discerning beginner.
But some distortion is present, volume is unbalanced,
Feels wilfully left to cater to less discerning Low End frequencies and Overall Volume preferring audience, while still advancing towards Audio-Philia - as one can expect from a sub 3k monitor pair.
It has 3 drivers , each kind of responsible for one of the three sections. This is my Interpretation.
1) 10mm DD - Sub, Mid bass and Lower Mids - this is loud, and easily powered
2) 6.8 mm EST - while not hard to hear, in this IEM, Hardest to hear by a big margin. Under overall low master volumes (which is often necessary to not be overwhelmed by the DDs) some vocals like the intro to James Maynard Keenans 46&2, especially high distinctive high pitch parts, are almost unheard, and Doors Harmonica is frequently distorted.
3) BA - good job, keeps the higher frequencies crisp and clear.
Overall good value for money, Teaches to listen , imperfect enough to look for more.
A functional Frankenstein of components, with some thought given to symphonic operation. Well, for a 3k, this is god send.
Design - Cables dont tangle much, feel resilient. L shaped connector is a boon, but lack of workmanship is very evident in here. Transparent look adds to the coolness, but the shape is generic.
Comfort - Initial fit and comfort is Orgasmic. Started paining slightly on the 3 rd day of usage - 4+ hours everyday.

I am relay new to the concept of IEMs and before KZ ZEX Pro I use normal earphones, may be with some extra bass. I have been using this IEM for almost a month. After hearing my favorite songs though this IEM, I can confidentially say that I feel different, the way most of the songs and music that hear, I feel like I am more immersed into these music & song and for some songs I feel the songs more alive, especially if its a treble flavored song or music.
When talk about the build quality of this IEM, its really good, stock cable is ok (I also brought another IEM cable to use with c-type terminal), lightweight and no problem to ware on ears once you familiarize . For the first few days I feel difficult to fit this into my ear due unfamiliarity.
I really recommend to those who looking forward to buy a new IEM, to give a try for 'KZ ZEX pro' , if you prefer to hear melody songs or strong treble flavored music more than bass.
I would also like to mention and appreciate that, I got some very remarkable guidance from headphone team to understand the difference between different drivers, connectors, sound signatures, accessories of these IEMs. Which help me very much to explore the best way to hear my favorite track better with IEMs.

The headphone V shape sound signature performs very well and balanced as per my previous audiophiles the expirence is very good and feels balanced and the third EST Armature plays it's role very phenomenal while having bass and treble equally balanced and the microphone unit delivers a good voice while having a call.

Initial sound was really bad, felt no bass at all and felt like ZEX sound way better than this but after burning in sound is much clearer and smoother. Packing is basic, cable is nice. Please consider size of ears as these are quite large. This is my first products from headphones zone. Looking ahead for more purchases.
