Unfortunately, even if we desire to, we won't be able to resurrect this product. The Museum is where we pay our respects to end-of-life, old, archived, but not forgotten products. This page was made with a lot of love and will live on for posterity. What to say, we're sentimental people. 😔

While this product is gone forever, here are others we recommend

Bass lacks punch for some listeners.

  • At this price they are exceptional. Sound crisp, bass not overpowering, feels balanced

Authentic

Good pair of headphone if you're onto this budget. Very light weight and sounds very good. You need to switch on OTG option after connecting this headphone otherwise it won't detect the plug-in.
Coming to sound part Not too punchy I would say but for this budget it's very good, much better than other brands, and if you've used Senn CX180 then it''s a little bit upgraded version of that with more punch and detailed. While talking or recording the mic includes background noise too. So if recording is not in your priority definitely buy this. Loved this.

Hey Debjyoti, thanks a lot for your amazing review!

Absolutely stunning with fantastic minimal design and neutral sound signature

The best thing about these is there minimal design as they pose negligible obstruction to ears while wearing a turban.
The acrylic design could be better but it is not bad by any means. The build quality is also amazing for such a small size with my only fear being the brakeage of wire from the base of the buds like my Soundmagic E10Cs after a year or so of use.
Sound quality is on a warm tonality and punchy bass (easily beats E10C). Some 8-10k shrilling is there but that is supposed to be there for such a budget option. The tangle-free cable also amazed me and the type-C termination quality is also top notch.
You can rest assured that you're going to get a good deal.

My overall rating - 9/10

Great for type c devices

I am not an audiophile. But the comfort and sound quality is above average. Still burning in the pair... I basically bought this because of the type c connection it offers and it supports my samsung tab s7+... Hope it will support my s23 ultra once it arrives. Happy with this purchase and kudos to the headphone zone team for such early delivery...

Hey Udit, Thank you so much for the positive feedback! It means a lot to us. We are so happy to hear that you are loving our products and services.

Good value for money

If you are looking for type c headphones which can be used without Dac or connector, light weight & can be used for call with mic, this one is solid.
Sound quality is overall good. Can be used for gaming but not best option for competitive gaming. Soundstage exists, has depth & width but no height sense thus imaging is not good.

There is plenty of bass if fit is good, mic is OK for phone call. No noise floor issue with android or laptop for me. Mid range or vocals are excellent. Treble is OK & non sibilant. 50 percent volume is more than OK in silence & 75 percent is more required overall if there is background noises. Isolation is average.

Overall value for money, better than cheap mi, sony earphones but built quality is something that is ok for now but not sure about endurance.

Also please note, the tips provided with Quarks DSP are best for this, don't change it. I have tried foam tips which increases base but make treble muddy, wide or narrow tips both changes something which is actually make it worse. I have added some scrrenshot of tips I tried but all made it worse apart from tips with it. Quarks are tuned to its limits any change even in tips made it worse, smallest tips with in ear fit made it sound best.

Hey there, thanks a lot for this lovely review and we are glad you are enjoying it! Keep the music playing.

Moondrop - Quarks DSP

Excellent for the price. These days it is increasingly difficult to find smartphone with 3.5mm jack. So usb c headphone makes a lot of sense. Even those smartphones with 3.5 mm jack do not have a good sound. This eliminates that shortcoming. Sound is mid centric, vocals are very good with rolled off bass and treble. But that is okay with me.

Hey Nishikant, thank you so much for the awesome review!

Pretty Okay for the Price, mostly for vocal heavy tracks.

Cons out of the way first:
1.The sound. Pretty great mids, but very low detail in the lows and highs, very low resolution and very narrow soundstage; they actually sound worse (or more boring) than the Sony EX155 without an EQ. EQ improves things quite a bit but still, you can't compare these to the KZ EDX, which sound better and are cheaper. Just save a tiny bit more and go for the CRA for a way better sound.
2. Cable can be noisy at times.
3. Grammar on the box. Yeah, seriously, because they pretty much get everything else right. This is fine because basically every other Chi-Fi manufacturer gets the English Grammar wrong, but I'll still mention it.
Now the Pros:
0. Mids are pretty great like I mentioned. You're gonna love the voices going into your earholes through these. Guitars also benefit from their stock sound signature, bass(both the instrument and the beats), not so much. I mostly will be using these for podcasts so really not an issue for me, actually probably the best ones for the job imo.
1. USB-C. This is a major plus for people with phones/tablets and laptops without a headphone jack. They get identified as a keyboard in android (you can disable this notification in settings to prevent it from popping up every time). The main advantage on PCs is being able to pause/play, adjust volume with the inline controls, because many PCs and laptops don't support the 3.5mm inline controls. The DSP is pretty good at its job because they sound basically the same as the normal quarks with a 3.5mm jack. I have no connection issues.
2. Noise isolation is pretty good. They block a good amount of noise but not so much that you'll lose track of your surroundings.
3. They're Tiny. Sleeping with these is a bliss, especially thanks to the great isolation. They're pretty great at fitment in the ear too.
4. Inline volume controls are great to have.
5. The Cable is pretty nice quality. Tangle free, feels nice and retains bends easily for people who like to put headphones in upside down. The controls casing is made out of some metal.
6. Great mic.
7. Packaging is pretty nice (minus the grammar-I'm sorry). You get an egg bag to put 'em in, tips in 3 sizes, wearing instructions for people who need those.
8. Design is fine. They're transparent but they still look cheap, but looks are subjective.
Overall they're pretty decent if you're not in for an overall balanced music experience. They get most of the basic stuff right, and USB C is pretty good to have. Recommended if you listen to mostly acapella tracks/podcasts.

MOONDROP PRESENTS THEIR ALL-NEW QUARKS DSP EARPHONES

Moondrop is known for designing some of the most elegant-looking and spectacular-sounding in-ear monitors. The original Quarks was revolutionary and was known for its excellent sound quality. But it still needed improvement and a range of application scenarios, which just needed some modification. Moondrop engineers went ahead with this concept which gave birth to the all-new Quarks DSP (Digital Signal Processing). Quarks DSP, which changed to a USB-C port, not only modified the interface but upgraded the signal input from the analogue input of the earphone interface to digital. The decoding and amplification are "integrated" with the chip of the USB-C port, with the DSP integration. The all-new Quarks DSP is a more cost-effective alternative than TWS under sound quality, delay, and power consumption. Moondrop went ahead with a completely different approach while designing the all-new Quarks DSP(Digital Signal Processing). There is no need to attach an external DAC or amplifier to the new Quarks DSP because it already has Digital Signal Processing built-in.

Headphone-Zone-Moondrop-Quarks DSP

FEATURES A 6MM DYNAMIC DRIVER THAT DELIVERS SPECTACULAR SONIC PERFORMANCE

The all-new Quarks DSP adopts a 6mm diameter miniature external magnetic circuit architecture dynamic driver. It also hosts an external magnetic circuit composed of high-performance neodymium magnets and magnetic conductive parts, which provide excellent dynamics, lower nonlinear distortion and the punchiest bass response. The diaphragm is made of high-performance polymer materials with toughness and compliance, which are repeatedly adjusted for the cavity structure to obtain excellent linear distortion performance. Delve into pure sonic tranquillity with the all-new Quarks DSP!

SECOND-GENERATION SOUND FILTER OFFERS A MORE NATURAL AND ENJOYABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE

The front cavity of Quarks DSP hosts a second-generation patented anti-blocking sound filter, which improves durability and reduces the possibility of imbalance due to earwax. Moondrop adopted a double damping structure, using two materials with different acoustic resistance characteristics to filter the mid-highs frequencies. This design offers very smooth mid-highs frequency response characteristics eliminating treble ringing, which is difficult to be cleared by DSP, making the sound more natural and enjoyable. Quarks DSP follows the enclosed front cavity design of Quarks. It can isolate external noise so you can listen to music at a lower volume which reduces the adverse effects at a higher volume.

BUILT-IN DSP WITH TYPE-C TERMINATION FOR EXCEPTIONAL SOUND AND EASY COMPATIBILITY

Moondrop Quarks DSP features a versatile USB Type-C connection port which can be connected to phones, laptops, and computers. It not only gets a modified connection interface but also has upgraded signal input via integrated DSP adjustments. Moondrop has accurately revised the frequency response of the Quarks DSP by finely adjusting the digital DSP filter. It is tuned to bring a significant improvement over the OG model. There is no delay and no signal transmission loss in the Quarks DSP.

EQUIPPED WITH MEMS MICROPHONE AND LINE CONTROL WITH A BULLET-SHAPED DESIGN

Quarks DSP hosts a high-quality MEMS microphone which allows you to experience various usage scenarios, such as the audio-visual experience, online meetings, online classes, or gaming. The volume rocker enables you to adjust the volume easily. The design of the all-new Quarks DSP is also eye-catching. Quarks DSP has a compact, lightweight build structure. The pair has a bullet-shaped design, which provides a super comfortable straight cable down fit with proper noise isolation. The appearance and structure design of Quarks DSP continues the design of Quarks, revealing its meticulousness and compact size. The fully transparent cavity allows a clear view of the driver and acoustic structure. The simple design not only brings striking looks but also provides a comfortable fit.
